The Minnesota outbreak has been traced to a captive deer operation.

Out there somewhere is a single young man, who if he is smart, will be at the contest to console the ladies that finish in a lower place than the tranny.

    yes. rant.

I don't disagree that baiting is bad, especially in CWD areas; but I grew up in the same area as you and back in the early 80s everyone I knew used to put out trailer loads of carrots/beets/apples Up North (north of the rifle line.) I was too young to hunt but I did get to go up 2 weeks before Opening Day and help put out the bait piles.

That's the way baiting always was in MI. Wasn't until recently they started restricting it to 5 gallon buckets.

I definitely have issues. Hard to unlearn a person's name and gender after years of working with them. It's galling to be corrected in an exasperated manner when I innocently use the wrong gender pronoun or the old first name.

My Grandfather was too tight to put all that bait out, lol . He would put his half 5 gallon bucket out and then go guarded it from chipmunks and squirrels, lol. True story he would put his bait out and the sit and shoot the critters that tired to eat it. In the late 70's thru the 90's I was up there also. We had the rule no more than half bucket of bait.

Even with the rule of 5 gallons, you still see piles of it on private land and public land.

In the 80's and 90's this was pretty common

It must be difficult to sit for three hours and shoot a 1.5 year old buck in Florida without the aid of dogs, beer and driving around with a loaded shotgun.

So if you are hunting and a buck you have been after all year steps out in front of you. You settle in to drop the hammer on him, and deer dogs come in and chase him off, how pissed are you?

Not sure about the deer dogs but I know bear dogs do not recognize property lines.
