Good thing we only have real basketball in MN. I'd tell me son to wrestle before I put him in a league where you can't steal, double team or press!
I would never be the guinea pig for my wife's temper by forgetting to bring home the bacon. My wife would take the bull by the horns, saving money by starving me. I hate to beat a dead horse but bacon is better than bagels and scones. I am not about to feed a fed horse if I can't feed myself because I didn't bring home the bacon. I certainly couldn't afford to take any flowers, especially roses with thorns. Those things are expensive. If I followed this nonsensical advice a test tube would be the only place I could afford to live. Trying to live this way is really screwing the pooch. I can't do this, I have bigger fish to fry. I may just be pissing into the wind, but, rather than killing two birds with one stone, I am going to stick to my guns, unless its bow season.
Minnesota does have good youth basketball. I lived in MN during 8th grade and was on a traveling basketball team after our normal school team ended. We traveled all over Minnesota and even South Dakota. Was one of the best times of my life. Staying in hotels every weekend. Was great at the time.
I tried to reply with something witty about "not killing the messenger" but my brain just will not allow it. So I went to sit Indian style and then realized I had somehow offended my people by not sitting crisscross apple sauce..
Looking at the internet during a late lunch here. Top 100 best westerns ranked....looked at list...puked in literal disgust. Most effed up and retarded list I've ever seen. I hope the people that put that list out, contract gonorrhea. It's one of those things that is literally so stupid it hurts me to even think about it. If I saw the person that made that list on fire, I'd literally throw diesel fuel on the ignorant sob...good grief. The remake of True Grit made it in the middle (I hate that remake) and the original didn't make the list at all. Then Brokeback Mountain made it in like top 30 somewhere, I can't really recall exactly, I was seeing red and cursing heavily at that point. If the person that made that list reads this post....contact me at 1-800-goef-usef. Okay that was partially meant to be funny but really....ugh.
Oh Peta... How can anyone take them seriously when the garbageman has take care of this on a weekly basis.
interesting debate topic: Better Western star- John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? As much as I love The Duke; I'll go with Eastwood just b/c I like the anti-hero. But he was pretty much the exact same character in every Western. John Wayne mixed it up a bit more. My favorite western line of all time:
So much of kid athletics should be purely instructional. Fundamentals are key. Even for purely rec league kids. There's a right way to play and a wrong way to play. If nothing else, it'll make them better fans through life.
Me too. Makes me wanna “kick kittens into a wood chipper” (not sure if that’s a saying but it appropriate for how I feel about this crap)
I'm not sure there was even one John Wayne western in the top 20. I'd go look but I'm not sure I should even risk another trigger event this late in the evening.
I have always liked that line as well. That said, I think I have to go with John Wayne easily for the GOAT. I have never been that big a fan of Eastwood's films. My favorite Clint Eastwood movie was Firefox, Every Which Way but Loose was also fun.
