That is funny; don't see that much anymore.
some of the best workout beasts I have known are heavy smokers. Like the kind of guy that did a PT run with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth and does it 2 minutes faster than anyone else. That's my rant- I hate that guy.

There were fellow marines who smoked who could outrun me any day of the week. Even a couple who were overweight who ran like gazelles, too. Picture a guy built like Fred Flintstone running three miles under 20 minutes.

There was an old sergeant major who'd haul azz to the half way mark, smoke a cigarette casually, and then run back with the enlisted marines who were struggling the worst to make time.

We had a guy in HS PE, heavy smoker, that would run a 4 minute and a few seconds mile. The track coach was always trying to recruit him.

I wonder what ever happened to him...

But I assure you, a lifetime of smoking doesn't end well.

The question is about these super athletic smokers is what is there quality of life today? That would be some interesting data.

I agree and at the same point. It really doesn't matter who wins anyway, its either gonna suck a little or alot. Nobody is gonna fix anything or change the fact I still gotta wake up and work every morning so don't really care.

Outdoor Television sucks. I tried to watch it during a dentist appointment this morning. There was some kind of Drury show that looked like a hunting version of Survivor. Incredibly stupid, changed the channel in less than 5 minutes. There are far better hunting shows on youtube than the crap on the outdoor tv stations.

Theres only about 3 that ill even think of watching. The rest... I get so sick of gut shots where they act like it was the best shot ever, or taking hard 1/4 to shots where they get almost no penetration. Etc etc.
Meateater, solohunter, and I've been watching western hunter a little. The rest are crap

Agree. Just finishing the last of the new meat eater series.

Randy Newbergs stuff is pretty good too on amazon prime.

The born and raised, home of the free series on YouTube was also good. Their next series drops soon.

Elk101 also has a day by day series coming soon.

All with the majority of their viewership on youtube and much better representations of hunters to the nonhunting public.

Walked in, turned on the TV, and caught the tail end of a "realtree roadtrip". Where they made a bad shot I'm assuming on a giant buck, cut scene to hero shots and coyotes ate everything. But it's ok because "it's the biggest typical I've ever killed. Yea!" All about horns and nothing else...

That's the way hunting shows have turned for the past xx years.

    How big are the antlers?

One of the reasons I would rather read of an epic hunt than see one on video.

I'd rather watch the likes of Hill Country Bucks, Farm Country Bucks etc.. than most of todays shows/webinars.

It has gone from how and why to, to this is why and because of xx product.
