Sorry to hear Jake, I have had two friends that were given opioids after medical procedures they both tell how crappy they felt they felt when they stopped taking them even after short term usage. They seem to flip a switch in some peoples brain or hit a spot that starts the spiral.
I've worked plenty of opioid overdoses and deaths. Some people we helped one week by reviving them only to find them dead the next. Had a good friend that was extremely healthy and one heck of a mixed martial artist. Had neck surgery. Prescribed opioids. Lost his wife. Lost his business. Lost his good job. Addicted. Having to explain the constitution to a 30 something dumbass. He was ranting about the NFL and players kneeling and his racist views. Explained that the 1st amendment rights mean that the Gov't can not limit his opinion but in the private sector you can get fired for being a dumbassed racist that rants, the constitution does not protect him inside a private business and you can get fired if you act like the grand wizard of the KKK.

Yeah the man bun wearing idiot with the gauges in the ears tried to tell me that he had freedom of speech and by telling him to keep his racist rants to himself that I was trying to take away his first amendment rights. Nothing worse than an idiot that thinks they are right when they are so factually wrong.
The NFL players aren't getting fired for kneeling. And they are kneeling in belief that our flag and our police force support a white supremacist society and discriminatory policing. To me, that is as offensive as a swastika. It is as racially inflammatory as a white hood. I think their beliefs are sprinkled with horse ****. If American police were out to murder blacks as they say, our inner cities would like like Lvov, Kaunas, or Kiev in 1941. Chicago and Baltimore stopped broken window police policies. They stopped proactive policing dangerous neighborhoods. They adopted Erick Holder police tactics instead. They are best described as reactionary instead of proactive. Reactionary is best described as chalk lines and crime scene ribbon. Folks in Chicago in those neighborhoods marched in protest of police "inaction" over the Labor Day weekend. "Why won't they help us?" Ask Erick Holder why "they" won't help you, Rev. I'm not saying I agree with the man you confronted at all.
