So, this New York Times op-ed is thought by some people to be from Mike Pence. I swear I can't eat anymore popcorn, but this just keeps getting better and better.
It's not about the stupid kneeling; at least for me. That's like 10th on the list. He's a Communist/mass murderer/cop killing sympathizer. All facts. That's the face that Nike INC has decided should be their brand ambassador. So F them, all their products; and any organization that has anything to do with them. And to top it all off- he's a crappy quarterback to begin with.
Not sure about the first three, but I fully agree with your assessment about his quarterbacking. Off to the Google machine.
No at every sporting event the announcer says please stand remove your hat and face the flag, the reason for the anthem is to honor those that served to protect our freedom and made the ultimate sacrifice, that is why military is often involved and flyovers. The anthem is to honor those, it is not the place to think of yourself or social issues it is like a moment of silence to reflect and be thankful. And BS Trump has nothing to do with my disapproval. With social media they all have a platform to promote their issues no need to make a statement at that moment.
Supporting cop killers and general hatred of cops: https://twitter.com/GLFOP/status/1037146311701790720/photo/1 there's so many pages describing his love of Che, Castro (both Commie mass murdering thugs) I locked my computer searching for them.
Such BS ignoring other bigger issues of violent crime by thugs with guns, just look at the numbers and acknowledge the serious issues first, and that same violent behavior is going to lead to violent deaths when you confront law enforcement with the same thug attitude.
You can share with Nancy and Maxine and many other people that suggest that others with a differing prospect be harassed in public and that makes you feel good. Talk about intolerance.
Kneeling during the anthem is a small issue. Violent crime is a big issue. Football is a small issue. The president of the United States advocating punishment for the exercise of freedom of speech is a big issue. If he was a private citizen it is no problem, but as POTUS he is the executive branch of the government. Not putting your hand over your heart during the pledge is a small issue. The fact the highest percentage of homeless people and suicides in my state are veterans is a big issue. Trump campaign hats, shirts and bumper stickers made in China is a small issue. Foreign nations hacking election data bases is a big one. Corporate media keeping us distracted with stupid stuff is really big, and it doesn't matter if you drive into the ditch on the left or the right, you are still in the ditch.
Yes and all these issues are because America as a nation has grown to give up the little things that are right to do to focus on themselves rather than the collective. It takes very little effort to do the right things even little things can add up to progress to getting back on track. It takes respect of the little things that are right to set an example. I go to games and watch football to escape all the horrible things going on in this word and part of that is being thankful and showing thanks. Every single time I go to a game and the anthem is played I get emotional because I am thankful. I was at a family gathering at my parents house before my parents final move out there was not much left in the house. While we were hanging out after dinner my youngest sister was asking me what I thought of the anthem issue, she like you blamed Trump for blowing it out of proportion. I went in the living room and grabbed the trishaped flag box that contained the flag that was on my grandfathers casket brought it in to the kitchen and said this is why you stand for the anthem for the sacrifices people made. I guess some get it and some don't. The men that have influenced me, men that I respect that served and some that didn't all were country loving, flag loving men that would have cuffed me up the side of the head if I did not take a moment to bow my head and reflect and be thankful. All the kneelers have their social media and many other platforms available to make their statements on social injustice, not during the anthem, nap does no favor with the Castro t shirt I mean that guy was not a poster boy for social justice and equality, very much the opposite. Kneeling is not going to fix the issues that you stated, coming together as a nation will but it has to be collective making any part of the process about how an individual feels is not going to help it will hinder so do the right thing.
tkaldahl- Hilliary and the DNC were hacked for different reasons but still hacked, they should have bucked up and hired professionals to prevent it and if not detect it. Self induced and preventable, but the pity party always blames others for issues not taking personal responsibility.
So I understand the language barrier and even though I made attempts to communicate. Because it is important to me today I was armed with my phone and in spanish had 2 eggs over medium, yolks half cooked in spanish on the screen. I got two eggs over hard yolks cooked solid.
or, you know...follow the law and proper national security protocols by not transmitting national security information on an illegal private server. And tell your personal assistant not use her child predator husband's personal laptop to access said illegal private server and transmit top secret information on said laptop. There's that.
