Nice behavior yesterday by the dems in the hearing room. Absolutely no respect for institutions and procedure they act like children when they don't get their way.
You know I try I really do to be nice and patient at times. Yesterday I went for breakfast in the hotel with my two associates I ordered 2 eggs over medium with sausage. The eggs showed up scrambled, I ate them because I did not want to have the other guys wait for me to get the correct order. This morning I go back by myself and get seated, I waited 5 minutes in the 1/4 full restaurant to get a menu then 5 more minutes before I requested that somebody take my order. I ordered slow and deliberate and as clearly as I could that I wanted 2 eggs flipped over and cooked medium with sausage. I get my order and I get 2 eggs sunny side up and ham. I know there is a language barrier but how do you get ham out of sausage? I was firm but polite.
The right-wing media acting as if the Pope and Catholic church speak for all Christians. That may be true in other parts of the world, but not here in America. The Catholic Church has a serious problem and needs to address it. The rest of us who profess a faith in Christ are tired of their unwillingness to address their own problems. It is okay that terrible mistakes have happened, it is part of being human. It is not okay to turn a blind eye to it and profess moral superiority on other issues. That blatant hypocrisy makes all Christians look bad; even those of us who never have set foot into a Catholic church. The entire media and cultural perspective that the Catholic Church is the ultimate authority in the Christian faith is garbage.
Continuing again today acting like absolute idiots, and the leaders of the democratic party are encouraging and supporting this behavior.
[QUOTE="MnHunterr, post: 1442114, member: 20184" Extreme comparison: There are 300 Catholic priests accused of molesting children in PA. Why aren’t we boycotting the Catholic Churches, etc? Pot = Stirred Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] Who says we are not? Catholics are the most arrogant of the Christian religions.
Fried eggs grilled on both sides. You flip them and cook it till the yokes and half hard not all runny.
Just for the record and most know this here. I have 0 affiliation with either the Republican or Democratic side of these arguments. I stay out of politics (for the most part). It's not about "right/left wingers" doing anything for me. It's about giving something of significant value to someone who is in need instead of simply throwing them away. Shoes are one of the very best things anyone can donate to the homeless so I am simply suggesting they do so. I will see my way out of this now. I respect the freedoms of people if they wish to make a statement with products they bought, but also would suggest helping others if possible (ignore the left/right wing agendas and simply give to give. Doesn't have to be political).
Chinese people, when you come from a very crowded country one would think that they would have the self awareness to not gather as a group in the middle of a doorway.
rant for the day - why the hell are these Senate confirmation hearings open to the public? It's 2018- the hearings are televised in their entirety; it's not like they're done in secret. I don't care what side you are on; these people are imbecilic children. And the protesters are idiots, too.
Both sides of the same coin. The church is the worst of the two but individuals make up the church and lend credence to the church. The catholic church is not the all seeing all knowing of the Christian religions. I think Martin Luther proved that quite well several hundred years ago. The needle hasn't moved much for the catholic church in that time.
Any idiot that tries to kiss a snapping turtle deserves what he gets, matter of fact I am rooting for the turtle.
You mean like when the GOP blocked the previous presidents nomination? Talk about children, make sure you label the correct group. Six of one, half dozen of another they are all bought and paid for shills.
First there was precident for an out going president to not nominate, second there was no childish behavior involved, if you can not grasp that you are emotionally immature.
The nomination remained before the Senate for 293 days, the longest nomination process in the history of Supreme Court nominations. It has very little to do with emotional maturity and more to do with facts. And what precedent? The "Biden Rule"? or the "Thurmond rule, in US politics, posits that at some point in a presidential election year, the US Senate will not confirm the president's nominees to the federal judiciary except under certain circumstances. The practice is not an actual "rule" and has not always been followed in the past, with presidents continuing to appoint and the Senate continuing to confirm judicial nominees during election years. Although described by experts as a myth, the "rule" has been inconsistently invoked by senators from both political parties, usually when politically advantageous to do so." Politics have turned into a crappy reality show.
