good luck, I had a small house and yard and loved it, freedom to golf, hunt and do whatever I wanted, now I have 5 acres, 10 fruit trees, starwberry patch, and all sorts of fing grass to mow, I'd give anything for my small yard back.
My wife did not want to live out on my farm due to the commute so we bought a house in town. It's a bag of mixed feelings, convenience vs comfort.. I like having so much to do so close but can't stand having neighbors, traffic and feeling boxed in. Every time she complains about the neighbors I just remind her of the farm advantages so it either plants a seed to get her back out there or shuts her up.. so I have that going for me.
My RANT of the day! https://www.yahoo.com/news/wisconsin-ordered-pay-gender-reassignment-surgeries-180621911.html
rant: being completely unable to find the "what gear did you buy today" thread. I have literally searched for over a half hour.
Rant: California for having the most liberal gun laws in the land. Wait, that's a good thing. Whaaaaaa? Has dnoodles lost his mother luvin' mind? Probably. In the true meaning of the word "liberal" - as in meaning LIBERTARIAN. As in the opposite of "Progressive"; not just California but all states under the 9th Circuit (Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, as well as Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands) are (for) now the most gun-friendly district in the US of A. Lawdhamercy! 2 enormous pro-2A decisions out of the 9th Circuit in the past 2 weeks- one halting the implementation of California's ban on "high capacity" magazines; and the other declaring Open Carry to be a Constitutionally-guaranteed right; ergo "Constitutional Carry" (ie w/o any need of permit.) https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/07/ninth-circuit-protects-gun-rights-california/ http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-gun-carry-ruling-20180724-story.html http://www.latimes.com/opinion/editorials/la-ed-gun-control-9th-circuit-20180726-story.html https://www.nationalreview.com/2018/07/open-carry-ruling-ninth-circuit-protects-gun-rights/ Summary from the National Review Online: "Taken together, these two Ninth Circuit panels have articulated three principles — each based on originalist readings of the Second Amendment and solid historical evidence — that should guide gun-rights jurisprudence at the Supreme Court. First, the Second Amendment does, in fact, protect weapons that are related to militia use — especially when those weapons are in common use for a lawful purpose. This principle can and should preclude the vast majority of so-called “assault weapons” bans and bans on standard-capacity magazines in semi-automatic rifles and pistols. Second, states must permit gun owners to “bear” arms outside the home. While I largely concur with the reasoning that the original public meaning of the Second Amendment does not require protection for concealed carry, if a state bans concealed carry, it must permit open carry. " [DNOODLES edit- it goes further than that; it bans state/local "may issue" concealed carry policies in favor of "shall issue"] "Third, when dealing with weapons in common use for lawful purposes, the form of gun control that is best designed to preserve public safety — while also respecting constitutional rights — is gun control that is individualized and evidence-based, based on the user, not general, based on the weapon. Though there are exceptions, gun violence tends to come from known threats (violent felons, troubled individuals with long records of problematic behavior) and generally does not occur spontaneously and randomly."

This has been posted a few times but it is worth it yet again. Stop taking pics of your screen/monitors guys. Stop being lazy and sacrificing quality then asking us to analyze it. It only takes a minute to drag it over to your phone
And if you're asking for age or rack size provide pics with a good views of the body and rack (respectively).
Watching the SILs dogs (standard poodles) this past week. These two are the dumbest dogs...ok, maybe they just haven't gotten the training, but...
huh...my goldendoodle (3/4 standard; 1/4 golden) is pretty smart. Not as smart as my giant schnauzer but still smart. And Golden Retrievers are the least smart of the retrievers; in my experience.
people who joined in 2012 or whatever; never make a post and then 7 years later post 37 times in one day.
A felon with a handgun gets shot by the police after not complying, removed a handgun from his pocket while fleeing and was shot and people are protesting.
So a couple weeks back when I was at the cabin with the family my hips were really bugging me I was hobbling around like an old man. My son texted me about coming up to help me split wood. Well since that weekend I tweaked my supplements and have not taken so much as an advil. I cut down and cut up several trees and transported and unloaded the 4 plus loads of oak and felt good. My son is coming up tonight to help, I told him to stop at home depot to pick up his own splitting maul I will pay for it, it is going to be a competition. I will not let him touch my maul with it's 13 pound head and 37" fiberglass handle, it will not even be fair. Whippersnapper trying to pity his old pops.
