I was on the local youth football board, I did the whole steps secretary, fundraising, treasurer, vp and 2 terms as president I did not allow youth football players to raise money. Kids should not have to pay to play and also raise money. They get their fill of that in high school.
Hank Hill: “Bobby, I never thought I’d need to tell you this, but I would be a bad parent if I didn’t. Soccer was invented by European ladies to keep them busy while their husbands did the cooking.”

What is a yellow card, a sternly worded warning? Do you offer a hug after you hand out justice on the pitch? Do refs have scarves too?
Is there a reason why everyone is so against soccer? I've never played or watched it but I don't hate it like everyone else here. Sota in particular. Why do you hate it as much as you do? It's just another sport. Seems like it's just a "jump on board" fad, kind of like people saying Nickelback is the worst, etc.
You are correct, a yellow card is a stern warning, like a Tech in basketball. It's called "cautioned" A player who has been cautioned may continue playing in the game; however, a player who receives a second caution in a match is sent off (shown the yellow card again, and then a red card), meaning that he must leave the field immediately and take no further part in the game. Persistent infringement of the laws of soccer in a game can get you a yellow card. Hard Foul(not going for the ball, but player) can get you a yellow card Being a smart ass can get you a yellow card. Delay of game can get you a yellow card I do not wear a scarf, I wear a cute uniform. Short "Short" black shorts, knee high black socks and a red, blue, green, back or yellow shirt.
My Grandfather fought in WW2 so I would not have to watch soccer or use the metric system. In all honesty it is soccer fans that bother me more than the game itself with the scarves and the chants and the skol chant. Even here in Minnesota with the local team the radio ads, and the play by play guy is British, like the accent adds to credibility. It is like craft beer and man buns it bugs me. I don't like pizza, soccer, the vikings, and the band The Eagles man. Also in 1976 I was in 4th grade my teacher Miss Kirk was a new teacher, she had spent a semester in England when she was going to college, She was determined to introduce us to English things and thought we should all play soccer, us kids just wanted to play kickball. I remember getting yelled at whenI when ever I touched the ball I kicked the ball as far as I could kick ball style instead of with the side of my foot. I grew up hating soccer.
Mostly it's the laws, most people don't understand the laws(rules). Offside is the one that really get's em, lol
