Lol. I don't know I just spent 21/2hrs shoveling snow. I got nearly all drive and turn around. Then mail box run and side of road approach to drive done. I started across street but still have another 200 ft of that to do. Snowing the whole time. Came in to warm-up and eat lunch ,storms picking up. I'll take pics next time out. May need one by Monday, my heating pad helped me through the night after yesterday's shoveling

I just finished up across the street. Of course another inch of snow followed my progress. Got canvas barn roof cleaned as well. I gave up half way to green house and shoveled just the tire paths for Gator not the entire drive run. Snow had just gotten heavier as day went on.
I'm now set for the real storm coming in 18 in.

After getting home from work tonight, I took the battery out of my truck and put it in the garage. Never thought it would get that cold in Arkansas, but vehicles here are not equipped to be plugged in to charge the battery in extreme cold . Single digit for overnight lows and probably not driving anywhere for a couple of days. That can kill a car battery.

Yeah my truck sounds like me getting out of bed when I start it in the cold.

When you realize you left your fob in the truck, oh sure I have a second fob in the house but it will not work if there is a fob in the truck.

Lol,even when the tractor was on line I shoveled the drives. My first paying job as a kids was knocking on neighborhood doors ,shovel in hand, shoveling driveways...I was 9.
It's a thing, I get way more sore now but still love it. I also have it down to a science to where much of it, when done right ,is basically taking a walk.

I spent 1000's of hours scratching fire line with a Pulaski I believe my technique was developed by the time I spent shoveling snow as a youth. I still shovel a little but I have to stretch before and after. My wife bought a vibration plate, I swear by that to prep to shovel or even take a walk in the snow, it lubes the joints.

So much for thinking I was done...lol
Hubby and I shoveled around vehicals and I redid all turn around, ends of drives and the mail box run.
The opened up the paths to propane tank and the house furnace / dryer vents. We then cleaned the garage roof and part of deck roof. Our son then came over to finish that so hubby didn't get up on the roof. . Of course that will require another redo around equipement and deck. I'm taking a warm up break before going out to finish up

Other than the freeways getting closed even in the peoples republic of Minnesota we do not have travel bans.

We have had emergency only travel closures several time over the years. This storm has the southern half of Indiana pretty much shutdown the rest of the day. Seen several reports of snow plows getting stuck. No way the roads out where I live getting reopened until tomorrow. With 25 mph winds lots of drifting reclosing plowed roads.
