I pray it is from the injury and not the suggestion of cancer the vet mentioned. That would have me back at Cornell for a second opinion. 8:30 appointment.
Well more xrays and good news No brake or any fracture, no bone cancer Not so good severe knee injury (ligaments) and hip dysplasia. He's under STRICT movement limitation pain killers and anti inflammatories

Things took a bad turn for A.J. yesterday. A second trip to vets and we were off to ER This time with hubby and daughter to Ithaca again. He was admitted put on IV'S all night. Orthopedic surgeon will see him before a full body CT scan this morning. Prayers please
Thanks it's been a very rough several weeks. Waiting on an update, hoping scans just show an infection with a clear body scan. At very least he wasn't in pain all nite.
Yesterday I took the day off, went and donated blood then went out for lunch at the little cafe in town. It was the second time I had been in the place since they opened 2 years ago. I was enjoying the wrap I ordered when the owner came out and said Tim how is your meal? I said it was very good thank you. It was a little unnerving that a guy I had never met in the little town knew my name. I don't do much in town, I go to the hardware store grocery store feed store local c-store deli, I go to the bar very rarely. Damn it I liked being an anonymous outsider where nobody really knows who I am, privacy thru being obscure that's gone.
So the CT scanner was down delaying things but up date is.... They want to aspirated the hematoma, and lymph nodes then check.for any signs of cancer. They are doubting the dysplasia diagnosis. Machine is back.on line and will be done soon. He ate a little this a.m. and has been a very good boy throughout the exams and procedures. even though still in some pain.
That’s a small town for you. Just think, you could have moved the other way from the ranch and been in the cities. No one would know you there. I think you’re doing pretty well in the small town!
