Our schools shut down if snow is even mentioned. Many years ago, a guy was taking his kids to school with lots of snow on the ground and roads. He ran off the road and his son was killed. Sued the school system for a chunk of money.

Hubby and I just lifted 2 inch thick slabs of ice off the end of drive and mail box run. We have an inch of ice on ground and 1/4 inch covering everything else. They are calling for an inch of rain starting this afternoon switching to snow tomorrow. That's the valley, not looking good for the hills. This said with just 25% in our propane tank and the new company not filling it yet after we called them last week. They are suppose to be on a regular refill schedual. We explained the hill and winter delivery issues apparently to no avail..

My back is wrecked from clearing the snow ice off the patio, kept thinking it was getting better nope it is painful to stand and I will need to blow snow and shovel again. I do have a mix of industrial strength anti inflamitories and muscle relaxers that I save for emergencies.

    Fifths or quarts?
As for grandchildren, treasure those times. There will come a time that grandpa will take second seat to other things. Three grandsons: one getting married in October; next one is looking at a college in NC which is a three hour drive; third is working full time and on his own.

That is why I moved and drive 83 miles each way to work because of the time with the boys. Kids will come to the lake instead of a ranch. We will watch the boys short notice anytime, overnight sure.

Hope all goes well. Surprising to get Covid from the dentist. Wonder if the dentist reached out to all their patients to give a heads up to the possibility.

My dentist and staff wear masks. Doesn't work as I can't hear them.

Don’t hear well in the first place. Can’t read lips through a mask. It’s hard dealing with any health care people these days. I keep telling them all to yell at me and I won’t be offended.

The wife said he was wearing a mask and glove and was pretty sick. Its the only place she had been before getting sick.
