Done that as a kid. Knife straight down and hit a vein. Blood squirming everywhere. Brother and I compressed it and never told my parents. Haha.

Foot is feeling a lot better. Got the yard mowed today, still have some pain/tenderness when the ground gets uneven but feels good otherwise. Going to take it easy for a few weeks in case it nicked a tendon or something. Thinking everything is good, but not seeking a professional opinion I'll err on the side of caution.

Good grief, can't stop replaying how it could have been so much worse.

So I get to the landfill, it is a huge landfill. I had to do a panel modification and commission a new cell. Only 1 problem I have to run the pumps to take readings, verify rotation etc. Main problem you need liquid to pump, they thought 10,ooo would do, argued with me about it. 40,000 gallons later we almost had enough.

Sitting in my hotel room changing my reservations $480 to change my flight, another $174 to keep my rental car another day, hotel $225 more because some F'ing nerd couldn't write a program correctly. I let the IT guy take my laptop that I used for team viewer and I am pissed at him too, because I would not be waiting for the chip with the program on it to be delivered to the hotel. The only thing that keeps me from melting down, interviews are being conducted to replace the clown that F'ed up.

It is kinda funny I spoke to the production manager this morning and people have been talking about how the trip for me filling in for customer service is not going well because of employee errors. Dad's pissed.

So today in public I completely and totally lost it in the TSC parking lot. Believe it or not, that's not like me. A brutally sarcastic comment or two if needed, but never a full blown ANGRY loud outburst.
Today an old man was hit with both angry barrels. Yes, I do feel a little bad, but mostly but mostly for my lack of control in getting fully triggered
I park front end facing out, fully a foot off back line. The parking lot was not full going in or coming out. I have a flat cart with 150 #'s of feed , feeders and shavings. I get closer to the car to see a new truck behind me. Let me explain the truck. It is a new chevy, ext cab, and sporting a FULL 8FT. BED. This info plays into my triggering. Now I have a proximity hatch trigger and as I approach seeing the front of this truck behind me and hear the hatch alert. Now I'm freaking out trying to stop it, for the truck is LITERALLY 1/2 INCH FROM MY HATCH. Yes, yes the entire parking lot heard my WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I look around the lot and see an elderly couple way over at edge of the lot looking at mulch and a guy behind us going to his truck across the way. Yes he stopped to look over at my out burst. I unlock and put feeders in the bucket seat. I'm standing next to seed deciding what to do, when the elderly couple is walking toward the car. He yells out can I help you load? In that instant it clicked. I reply are you walking to that truck? Wife shakes her head and he says what truck? I flipped out! NO,NO you can not help me load because you damn near hit me! 1/2"!!!! His big mistake was " No I didn't " The freak you didn't! your truck is 1/2" in from my hatch, learn how to freaking park! It's a new car. Hell, I see you have a new truck! In the mean time, the wife quietly walks past my car and looks over the situation. Looks up at me and shakes her head up and down in affirmation. Yes! I yell yes a 1/2 afreaking inch ! You best have a talk with your husband on his driving. I'm a good foot infront of that back line. He needs to learn how to park that boat he's driving. I then had to get in my car and pull into the drive lane to keep him from rolling ahead and bumping me as he started the truck . I get out to tend the seed and protect front end. When he backs up a little bit then pulls out and forward to go past me. NEARL TAKING OUT THE DRIVERS REAR LIGHT! WTF!! Un believable. He was afraid to back his EXTRA long truck up.
Had he hit me I truely believe I may have yanked open his door dragged his elderly ace out of the truck and beat him. Yes,yes that vision is still clearly sitting in my brain. Can I help you?:rant:

The chip coming NDA took all day to clear customs, I was told that there was no way that my package could be delivered. I asked to come to the UPS terminal and pick up my package this afternoon I was told we do not do that, it is a secure facility and you can't pick up shipments. I chose to be calm and explain the situation in a reasonable manner and made a reasonable request. The person who I spoke to on the phone personally brought my package to the guard station.

The coyotes were Crazy last night half the night. They howled, yipped , and barked. They had the dogs running around down stairs barking as they cicled the house. It's going to be a long summer. Thanks NYS for nno year around hunting

I've been away from NY for too long (thank God)...any options like depredation available for Coyote control?

In guessing all your chickens are bringing them close, and it may just be a matter of time...

The chickens are fenced actually behind years of additions to the garden fencing...cattle, then goat over that and now 7ft chain link over that. The bottom 2 ft of all that is lined in either 1/4 hardware clothe or 1" chicken wire. I'm battling rabbits now I'm planting a third of the garden so the rest belongs to the chickens. The coyotes have a decades long system of dens on the neighbors behind the house. He tried digging them up one year to discover the dens branched everywhere. He gave up.

let me set my B--ch up, i run a indoor archery league and an outdoor 3 D range for a my local sportsmen club. so after the indoor league is the outdoor 3D range. i ordered some inserts for the 3D targets that we use (15 inserts), we have over 90 3D targets and only use 30 at a time. but i figured i would get an early jump on the inserts, so i placed an order from RINEHART Targets.

i placed the order on 4/21/25 it was confirmed and the money was withdrawn from the sportsmen's club acct on 4/26/25, so on the 4/28/25 i asked if they could tell me when my order was going to be shipped and how the order was going to be shipped by UPS or freight.

the response i received was it will be shipped by UPS BUT NOT until 7/14/25.

Last year it was 3 weeks before i received the order.

i don't need need the inserts but i do have favorites that i use more often, and would like o use them but i cant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$2700.00 worth of items, purchased other items also. couple of targets and 2 dart boards (new from Rinehart this Year)

    Aging.....

I don't care about the number, I still felt 18 at 25, still felt 20 at 30 etc..

Learned this past weekend I have gained a fear of heights, might be more a fear of stability at height.

Had a storm move through Friday afternoon that dumped 2 rounds of 1" hail. Inside it sounded like baseballs as it started, but when I went to front door it was much smaller. Come to find out what I thought was a baseball sized hailstone actually atruck amd went through an attic vent on side of house. Had a 6" square opening. Little did I know they are plastic.

Got out the 20' extension ladder, awning above the upstairs window kept me from getting directly inline under it, so had to go off the side. Had to extend the ladder to its fullest extension.

No clue on the ladders capacity, bought it a boat, 2 outbards and a tabletop jigsaw for $275 years ago. When I got half way up it was already wobbly feeling. Only 8 more feet, 3 feet later and I started to climb back down.

    Man Up!!!

Got 4' higher and just felt uneasy. Climbed another step at a time over 5 minutes and barely got the reach to slap a patch of flex tape over the hole. Got it pressed down all around and ready to climb down.

Climbing down my legs were so limber and shakey I felt like I was going to fall at each step. Couldn't reach the ground fast enough.

Still have ti replace it and the one on opposite end, either renting a scissor lift or hiring someone to replace it.

30 years ago I'd have already replaced both ends and never thought differently.

I hope the day with treestands never comes, but I know it will eventually.
