So quiet, peaceful..... been a minute.

A bit on edge, so many people telling me they'll come right back. I've got a temporary fix in place for their entrance point, I just need 18 more hours to incorporate a mostly permanent fix.

Just heeded the warnings, stacked 80lbs of landscaping blocks in front of the window in question. Didn't like the resistance of the flex seal tape, felt more like soft plastic/hard rubber than a lasting bond/material.

I will permanently block it tomorrow. Not sure which route, but it shall be done.

So I get angry, ticked off even driven over "stuff". I rarely ever get depressed, why bother being depressed doesn't do anything to help or change things.
I'm depressed! Yep put right over the edge yesterday and last night. No sleep constantly itching and checking, tired. The ticks have beaten me. I don't want to touch our land. I'm avoiding the dogs near me. I just can't, can not deal with it any longer.
Spayed down several times yesterday. I get into Gator and take ride around looking for a specific cam and checking turkey scratching.
Come back and park at the coop. The Gator seems to protect the chickens as they free range. I'm in Gator watching the chickens and feel movement . I'm covered in ticks ,crawling everywhere and burrowing into the back of my neck. Get home strip shower and change. After dinner I go over get gator and close chicken coop.. come home, sit to watch TV, ticks running up my arm and across my chest. I'm done!

Probably not as it is I look ridiculous wearing long pants ,tucked into my socks, and long sleeves ALL SUMMER. I'm talking even in the 90's
Now blk flies are out. What does that mean? I will have to put a head net on over my wide brimmed hat. Oh yah, they could give two hoots over my wearing sun glasses. Goggles could help but picture this
Tucked in pants, long sleeves goggles and my nostrils stuffed with cotton balls. Yes sir that's their second best place to fly into. Oh, but then inorder to breath, a face mask The only thing I'm scaring away at that point is possible home intruders:sad::rolleyes:

    BTW What attracts ticks?
    1. High concentration of carbon dioxide ...check
I had some lung issues so a lot of tests were run
    2. Heat...check
I have always given of a ton of heat
    3. Movement...check
well duh I'm outside for a reason
    4. Oder...check ....
though I'm not sure what that is. Olay products are all I use. Those and unscented detergent and softners.

I think CO and CO2 attract mosquitos. Ticks are after blood...

Fwiw- If you haven't, I'd liberally spray your outdoor clothes, hat, socks, boots and gator seats with Permrthrin. I usually double up on any cuffs/openings.

A benedryl (or 2) in the evening should help with itching.

Both and had Docs tell me years ago. It could probably be looked up. BTW skeeters are an issue as well.
I buy sawyers by the case. Would never be able to hunt if not. That said I change daily ,sometimes more than once. 2-3 loads of laundry per day for...2 ppl.
The itching, other than bites is more anxiety. That said this years bites have been by far the worst for itching and 2 have left scars.
Oh, the Deet I use is 40% active deet

And, oil of Lemongrass for the deer flies.

I don't miss the blackflies. Up towards the Adirondacks they were thick as soup.

I think I would spray down your gator with some good bug killer and let it dry. Just to make sure it's not the source of your issues. Had this happen in gator before. They were in the seat mainly.

I used a 1 gallon pressure sprayer to apply it.

I have a trip planned to Calgary in a couple weeks, I don't want to go to Calgary. Brought the rep from Calgary to our yearly service training a couple weeks back he had 2 days of hands on training, and doesn't feel comfortable doing the procedure and commissioning the cell. The tax payers of Calgary are going to pay $6000 for me to come up and be on site for 1 day.

I hope you guys have more fun plans for the weekend than I do. The waterline that runs through crawl space from the ktichen sink to the refrigerator has a leak in it. Pretty sure a rat chewed a hole in it. I have to replace the line and the drywall that it ruined before we found the leak. Hopefully, the framework in the walls with dry out without being rotten enough to need replacement.

So I had to drop the wife's vehicle at the dealer, I had to call a cab to get to the airport. There was a woman riding in the cab that was high as hell on something, I was like WTF that sure looks fun.

There is a reset on bottom. Did you check it? Easy to replace.
