Must not be dark enough just yet, went back.

Still worried about the mechanism on the door. Think the one that was trapped in it overnight may have been clawing around and bent something maybe. It is such a hair trigger, I just hope it is hungry enough it goes right in and doesn't show the caution of last night.

Thought I caught the second one last night, 1st one down was really cautious. Now thinking I caught the 1st one as the one tonight went to the east side of the basement where the 2nd did last night. Didn't come down and has not moved since my last post.

Nothing in the trap this morning. There was a hell of a racket about 12:30. Think it may have gotten inside the basement bathroom. Going to try to get the day off to get this taken care of. Been at least 2 1/2 days since it has eaten, it's going to hit desperation point anytime and I can't allow it to get on the main floor.

Hoping it is in the bathroom, then hopefully it's just a prop open the side door, open the bathroom door and its a straight shot up the stairs and outside. Just want it out of my house ASAP.

I moved the trap to the basement bathroom this morning.

When I got back home I opened the side doors and bathroom door hoping it would smell the fresh air/hear the outdoor noises and just get the eff out.

    Didn't happen.

Tomorrow the ceiling starts getting ripped out, I'm done with it. I was wrong when I thought the main support beam separates the basement access east to west. It can access the sump for water and I cannot let that happen and have it eff up the plumbing or wiring.

Was hoping the bathroom would be more confined and allow the bait scent to pool, but As I mentioned earlier, think I caught the 1st one down Saturday night and the one I have left is cowardly when it comes to climbing.

Watched the cam from last night when I heard the commotion around 12:30 and it was where they were originally Saturday night. It either fell or spooked, I couldn't see anything but the pair of eyes at times so not sure what it was.

I'm done with it, have to patch some drywall when done, just hope idiots that finished the basement ran the recessed lighting wiring against the joists and not random patterns. Going to be swinging a pick axe ripping it down in big chunks to cut it off in each direction.

As I feared, wiring ran every which way.

Now I have to watch security cam to see if it somehow ran out of the house without me hearing it jump down.

I was all about the baseball bat dude from Inglorious Basterds looking for it. High and low.

I'm angry and helpless at the same time.

Been chasing this mother effer for a few days and countless hours. I sit here and have no reason to worry, yet I have a raccoon with no meaning just randomly distributed into my life.

    I'm done, time to @%$#

It sucks that you are having to deal with this, but it made the start of my work day more interesting!
