Staying in the city this week rather than driving home because I have to go to dinner every night and pick up the tab, 28 customers in for the week starting tomorrow. Grill burgers and brats one day, chicken and pork chops the next for 78 people. Can not wait to get on that plane to Tampa a week from Thursday.

I'm disapointed! Used my MAPS to get me to Rattlesnake hill. Where I've been wanting to scout. Well, it's been many a year since I've been there. WTH, first my cars map sucked. I FINALLY pulled up my phones maps. Well the State is just falling apart. The paved roads I remember were just completely tore up. When I say completely I'm talking looked like blk. gravel, completely across the road. It was crawl mode to get through without paint damage. Then that went directly to dirt roads/mud??? I turned around a few times ,seeing that.
I ran into a logger who actually lives up in our area. We talked a bit and I said are there any paved roads to Rattlesnake any more? No. He told me how to get to the one completely on the farthest side from us. I took the route, more ripped up blk. top then a main drag. I drove by a tiny road side one car space next to an open service road gate to Rattlesnake. Literally 3 hrs to find that.
So there will be no going to rattlesnake unless that tiny little car spot is empty. Now along that highway there were many NYS DEC signs. NOT a single spot to stop to enter. It's road, then deep culverts on either side.
Oh well, I got time to check out many things on the new car. Also found out my card does not work in the only car wash I will use. Will be stashing a few tens in it for future drive. She got a wash and wipe down when I got home.

I also found out I love the handling but, not the sign reading. I'm going along 55 mph and I hear a ring and a bright read stop sign icon pops up infront of me, It's a good thing I still have my whits about me. For I instantly realized we were passing a side road with a stop sign. When side roads angle ( / ) in and not cross( + ) or( T ) in, it can catch the stop sign. I don't like that as a system recording..Oh she runs stop signs.:eek2:

Nothing pisses me off more than a rental car with the auto slowdown when the cruise control is on.

I haven't used cruise yet but tried crurve and lane control., weird feeling the car deciding to slow speed and move the steering wheel under your hands. I admit for my relative short distance driving a lot gets turned off before leaving the driveway. I can see benefits on long trips and the expressways.

My week from hell is over as soon as the I pay the pizza place when the order is placed, I am going to go home have a few beers sit in silence, pet the dogs and watch the birds. I have spent a week talking and being on and nice, I need to rewind real slow.

We've had A.J. for years . He Always minds, NOT TODAY! 6a.m. hubby let him and Scout out to potty. Scout came back A. J. did not. Hubby was in a true panic. He took to the truck and I took to the Gator 1 1/2 hrs. Still no A.J.. oh man I discovered a few things on the search. Anyways I get back home, still in my P.J.'s, voice horse cold and ready for coffee. Grab a cup and head for computer room. Look out the back window and here comes A. J. trotting up the trail huge deer leg bone in his mouth :chewy:
Thank heavens but man was he in trouble. Hubby took his prize and made him sit as he chewed him out before letting him in the house. . A.J. is back on his collar for the first time in years , just to potty.
I haven't seen hubby this stressed in many years.

SOB! Really I can't stand it. So I felt a tiy pimple irrtation on my back last night. I asked hubby to check my back ...he sees nothing.
Well this tiny little pimple thing, tiny, irritated me and I dug at it. This morning in shower I get a mirror and inspect it. Yes sir the big flaming red circle of A tick bite.
I could litereally bath in deet and parmerithin and still get a tick bite!!! Ticks, bees, knats, flies skeeters. I think the only thing that hasn't found me edible are fleas
All my life, I even had a summer as a kid, plagued by praying mantis and dragon flies

    FML!!!!

So, periodically I have been hearing a noose in the house. Typically the same spot, but I could not tell whether it was up or down. Had some gusty winds earlier in the weekand had some insulation in the front yard. Went outside and checked the roof and the vents on the side of house. Nothing.

Neighbor behind me a house or 2 dowm just had roof work done. Challed it up to coming from that.

Fast forward to today. Heard the noise rather loud, but still could not determine up or down. Thwn it really started up and I heard a noise from something living, avian or mammilian I had no clue. So I hurry up and get outside, look down side of house fromnthe back fence and see a black bird on the roof. Next to a vent so I'm thinking great, we have 2-3" + of rain coming.

Scramble out front and look up I on the roof, nothing. Just had the roof replaces in '18 so felt a little better. Get around side of gouse and check the vent again, still nothing. Then I look down.

EGAD!!! Older house so it has old style windows in it. The 2 lower corners are busted completely through. Went inside and grabbed a bug bomb I had for when I clean the garage this Spring and let it loose. Then headed to Menards. Flex Tape to the rescue and a can of Flex Spray.

Haven't heard any movement since I got it patched and back inside. About an hour now.

I have no idea how I am going to repair the window. Can't access it from the other side without removing the stand alone fiberglass shower. Has a full bathroom.

I don't need it for light or anything.

Thinking maybe drill some holes in the sides and put some square fence in and fill it with quikrete or something.

No clue how they got busted completely out like that either. Granted may have already been cracked, but doubtful a squirrel or bird would just one day decide to pick at it. No bratty kids around either.

If you’re having issues with nooses, I don’t think flex seal tape is going to solve your problem!

On another note, the movement in the concrete around your window may have broken those glass blocks. From the freezing of the ground.

Cause will go unetermined, no clue how long it has been like that.

Also have no clue what was in there or where it went. Even with it sealed up it's not trapped in the wall or ceiling, . I'll be taking the BB gun with me when I have to do laundry or get into the chest freezer

Yeah, the bad part is it is only accessible from the outside. The other side of it is a wall with a shower in place.

The window serves zero function/purpose. Would be simpler to just have covered over, which I'm sure a mason could do as well
