Besides I actually have a secret weapon, I have a crazy amount of strength when I get an adrenaline dump. When I'm injured or feel severely threatened the dump happens. Even at my age it still happens.

Before my daughter left for MSU 5 years ago she had a boyfriend I did not like, I threw him a football and he jammed his finger. I kept quite for a year and then one day we had a talk about the young man. It was an honest talk about relationships and what she wants out of life. 5 days later she ended it and all I told her with a smile was the next one better catch the football when I throw it to him. Not sure who will be next for your daughter, but the current guy and the one she’ll marry was a d1 athlete in track at MSU and could have played baseball. He’s extremely good to my daughter and hits a golf ball a mile. My wife is a bacon thief, anytime I make bacon for a recipe she steals pieces. This morning I heard her getting up I had coffee done and I brought her bacon on a plate while she was watching salt water fishing on TV, nope she turned it down she wanted to wait a little while. No points for me.
Son again after my warnings all summer, showing up 7 days before my first hunt date to chunk trees I dropped for him. Now I'll be in a mad rush this entire week to get the chunks loaded and moved to his trailer.
after suffering back pain all summer, going to P>T> doing execises, getting shots in spine, Doc now says, YUP you need major back surgery ! Well there goes all my hunting plans this fall, winter, Possible for good, As i am 69 years old with a bad back, 2 poor shoulders, was a good run tho

Sorry to read , I'll pray you get through this in better shape than you anticipate. Remember there are crossbows and other things to help keep you in the deer woods. My husbands Grandfather in his late 80's broke his back. They had him in a full upper body/ neck brace. He went to deer camp they put a kitchen chair out in a field and set him up wth his shot gun. He hunted an entire week in the snow like that.
