Friend of mine met up with other old friends of mine in VA. Brought his family from Colorado to enjoy a lake house as his son had just graduated hs. Well yesterday his son was electrocuted and drowned due to a live wire on the dock. Absolutely horrible tragedy. National class snowboarder who had his entire life in front of him. My friend jumped in and pulled him ashore, began cpr, and tried his best. I cannot imagine the pain he is in right now. Dang this world is one hell of a beast.

Can not begin to imagine the loss. It is pounded in the heads here, there is an outlet box right by the end of the dock, no going on the dock if a cord is plugged in. Even with a GFCI do not go.

About 10 of my college buddies were hanging out on that dock for many days last week....all of them could have been killed. So dang dangerous.

My wife talked to the old neighbor over the weekend. Oak wilt came thru again and the guy that bought my place did nothing to stop the spread. The pasture is decimated all the old 100 year old plus oak trees gone. The guy had every oak tree in the pasture removed and there is a giant slash pile in the middle of the pasture, the ground is all tore up and it looks like hell. Sad on one hand but I got my $ out of it.

Stopped at a DQ today to get a Nutter Butter shake, it is a lie they are using the nutter butter shells with no peanut butter. One more thing I can make better at home.

Get the suburban, nice ride, reliable and plenty of space, get heated seats and steering wheel.

Liked the Tucoma TRD sport but my favorite was a fully load Palisade. Tried a Toyota suv but too mini van feeling. I also tried another truck, commander??? A base model that drove really nice but not worth 45 thousand. Tucoma was 50 and palisade 54.
Our first house,3 bed room in village cost 36...lol

I have to say I'm being forced into this. Personally cars and cell phones ,2 very big angst with me. A damned waste of money on both. I told hubby I really do not give 2 hoots what my vehical looks like as long as it runs. He can get me an old beater. The Marque has just 81 thou. on it. It's rusty but runs. The issue is the trunk, basically gone and the frame is starting to look weak. That's a safety issue.
He sent me out to test drive with the wrong person...She has too much money and she alone owns the Rubican for summer fun and her other car for every day. She actually wants the palisade and has been trying to get me to take her car..
The only vehicals I refused to look at. Fords tiny little truck and any Dodge. Never a Dodge, they F'd me on a tranny warranty and then made it impossible to contact corporate. I took that truck in 3 x's 6 mos before warrenty was up and told them straight up the transmission was going. Every single time no,no it's not. 4th time a week after warranty, yep transmissions shot ...sorry no warrenty Yes I will hold a grudge forever and that company can just. Ok too many nasty things still running through my mind on that to say, some 25yrs later.

Son is battling a near 104 temp with Covid. Docs. Have him on heavy duty Pfizer meds to help. Late 30's and smoker, trying to quit.
Now hubby has to be tested because his freind is battling cancer and they were suppose go to a clambake this weekend. He's never had Covid and hubby would neve forgive himself if he gave it to him.
