I know as a life long Minnesotan and considering we have had an easy winter I should not complain but subzero highs and winds 15-20 out of the northwest just sucks. I am going to have to carry the chihuahua out of and away from the house so she does not pee on the patio.
I had to sit in a car dealership today buying my truck I had a 3 year 20,ooo mile per year lease Truck has 128,750 miles on it, just slightly over the milage limit, it sucked doing all the BS paperwork and in the end having the same truck. Looked at a decked out Chevy High Country Silverado. You can get a Corvette for $15,000 more.
Let the games begin Power and internet blinking out like a flirtatious teen batting her eyes at an older guy
Drive looks like a tree blew up down it's length. I see from house at least one major tree down. Will not be going near the woods for a few days. We got a break from 2 a.m. till now. Winds cranked up again. Stay safe everyone
I have a good friend, a fire fighting buddy. He was going thru a rough time personally with his wife and his life he had a serious drinking problem. I supported him and encouraged him and he sought treatment, he has been sober for 4 months. Good guy but since he got sober in group texts he asks people if they are drunk again when there is a post he does not agree with. Last night he made that comment and I was not having it. I texted listen O'Douls not all of us had to go to treatment because we could not handle drinking and need to apologize every morning for shat we said last night. The group all had a good laugh except for the guy with the new nickname.
Hhmm....though may have been an ass, can't imagine being labeled and laughed at helps a new recovery.
You do not know my friends or our collective sense of humor, They started calling me Shakes when they found out I had parkensons. We love each other enough to laugh at each other.
So I mentioned the tree bombs going off in woods during storm. Today was calm enough to check. We lost thousands of dollars it looks like a tornado or hurricane went through one area. Straight mature maples up rooted and knocked over like domino. Straight mature maple with the tops blown out of them. Most trees alive , out of many dead, only a couple came down.
Yeah we all have a sick sense of humor and we have been thru enough miserable situations together that our bond is very tight.
I was listening to the evening news...the reporter commented one ecudorian family traveled 30,000 miles to get to some city in the US. People really have no idea how big this marble really is...
