It's like that everywhere. Go into any farm type store, Walmart, Scheels etc. and shelves are full. Mineral blocks, Deercaine, those seed and mast molded in gelatin or whatever. Makes it seem legal.

I asked about it once amd was told not everyone making a purchase is hunting in IL. Wanted to reply, Just like not everyone working here has a brain, but bit my tongue.

Also pisses me off these urban on the edge of rural home owners that feed the deer. Had a mostly white buck killed here several years ago, was named "Al". Was a big fuss when a Chicago area guy killed it legally as it was a neighborhood pet, everyone fed it blah, blah, blah. Admitted to it on news and to reporters for the paper. Nary a word said, but jad that hunter taken it with bait etc. he would have been fined, items and deer confiscated and who knows what else.

There is not a bit of difference between baiting and feeding for the intent of the law, CWD spread prevention, but seems to only be punished when a hunter is involved.

Never fly into or out of the Lafayette airport, the rental car counters suck, the connecting flight to Atlanta is late once again. I was supposed to land in MPLS at 5 pm drive and get home by 8:30. Unpack my bag repack my bag and leave again for the airport around 5am. Because my flight to Atlanta was delayed I missed my Atlanta to MSP re booked. I am stuck in the back of the plane and land at MSP at 12:30 get home repack and have time for a shower and leave.

I am getting to old for this crap.

I remember getting in late once, around 3 am having to go home repack and be back at the airport around 5am. I parked in the same spot I vacated.

I don't miss that part of travel...

My biggest effing rant to date.

I'm so sick of inclusive, it's discriminatory, race driven, race based, minority driven anything in the world, but in this instance it is about credit.

So many commercials about debit cards that build credit, paying utility bills builds credit. Keeping a positive bank account balance builds credit.

What in the EFF!!? Inflation much?

Positive bank balances don't affect credit score, but does play a role in other ratios/metrics. Using positive balances to simply pay bills on time is smart.

Credit score/Fico score is based on: payment history, amount owed, length of credit history, credit mix and new credit.

When my son bought his first vehicle he had no credit despite having a ton of cash in the bank. Faced with an 18% apr, he just paid it off.

You can deny it, but there is a large 'unbanked' population and a larger population of those with little to no budgeting & financial planning/management skills. And just like saying Florida is disproportionately elderly, those without the financial know how are often urban dwellers, African American & a few other ethnicity, and increasingly millennial and younger.

Ps. That probably also doesn't have an appreciable affect on inflation.

It is funny when you have good credit and income how many companies will offer you interest free. I owed $6000 in federal taxes, pay pal offers zero interest 9 months, why would you not take advantage take of that?

I'm talking about the commercials you see advertising credit boosts. Chime is one that comes to mind. It's probably more like a secured credit card than a debit, but they market it as a debit card. Damn near encourages overdrafting by having up to $200 in free overdrafts.

There's also another app one that states boosting your credit score by paying your utility bills on time. Again, it's likely some sort of secured credit card that auto pays your utility bills and then you pay the balance and it reports to the credit bureaus.

It's just the way they advertise it that irks me

I get it. There's predatory and misleading elements there. Even without product x, paying a utility bill fully and on time will help your credit rating.

They'll be sure to charge you for that extra bag. You know, the one you wouldn't have if they hadn't lost it.
