Sometimes living in rural MN is a challenge, can not find a company online to come service my gas fireplace.
10 days in the the Minnesota "archery" season, first year for crossbows. Of the deer registered so far 40% have been crossbow kills. Nah crossbows don't dumb down archery they let lesser skilled people succeed, that is called progress in America.
I don't associate much with people anymore but I've not personally heard of one person buying a crossbow because of the new law change.
Not doubting it. Just not seeing it myself. They way my shoulders are getting, guessing I'm going to have to join that crowd in the coming years. Don't want to though.
And that's just the reported number. It's the poachers choice weapon here. Night time hunting bracket
Yah really JUST like rifles. Guys shoot deer hundreds of yards away with thousand dollar scopes. Not being skilled enough to get deer close enough for a shotgun kill with open sights. Dumbing down gun season...hhhhmmmmmm.
Finding completely hairless and eyes open 10 in. Head to tail baby squirrel in the drive. A.J. found first this weekend and we had a hard time figuring out what it was. Yesterday I found a poor little live one that was crying Gggeeeezzz!!! Had to dispatch it. Way too old to be right and apparently " mom" figured it out and is booting them one at a time. Man life can be cruel in its effort to be kind. A hairless rodent here would have a long miserable time before freezing to death.
O K Gang ! Easy does it, I am 68 years old, started bowhunting at 12 years old with a wood long bow, graduated to a recurve, then got on the compound bow bus, Now after 3 shoulder surgeries and 2 back surgeries I have to use a crossbow !! OR sit at home and watch the VIEW ! you make the choice!! Think about your comments !!!
I have no issue with crossbows they are certainly a tool for people to stay in the game, but be honest look at the advertisements for crossbows and tell me what the selling features are.
Most pears dropped off the one tree over night...that gave me an unexpected job. Just pulled last 6 jars out of canner and stuck a gallon in juice in freezer. Hands so swollen from cutting and peeling a 5 gal. Bucket of them. I have another half bucket to go tomorrow..,then there is three 5 gallon buckets of apples to make canned pie filling and more juice / sauce. Never know when we'll get another year like this. Making hay when the suns shining, as they say.
Holy Hell! No wonder I never leave the hill. Last time I went to a museum it was 8 bucks a ticket...37.00 for a kids ticket?! Made me realize I don't even know what movie tickets cost that were 6 bucks the last time I went. I can't even remember what movie it was...lol I just have zero idea how people are managing raising kids now. Other than good grandparents , many don't even have that!
OH I see ..if you are on WIC , public assistance 37.00 drops to 5.00 for the one card holder and 3 additional people with them regardless of status.
Finally tomorrow morning I am going back to the dentist to deal with the broken molars that have been open to air for 2 weeks now. Sore on my jaw is gone, please make the pain go away.
Why is buying a car such a PITA? Already nearly 90 minutes and we're just getting to the credit check...
I think they get awards for who can make their customer wait the longest and still complete the sale. I want a new truck but I’m not gonna do it bc I don’t want to put up with the BS!
That depends… Did you know exactly what you wanted? Did you have to test drive a bunch of different vehicles? All that stuff takes time. Did you have a trade appraisal? If you sat down by me and knew what you wanted, I would have your numbers within five minutes and your paperwork to apply for the loan will be done in 10.
