Rant about me being 10 ply soft with my kids. My son is traveling to go see Billy Strings in Carolina once again his dog will be staying with us. I land at 6:11 Wednesday night. He has a basketball game at a high school about 12 miles from the airport out of my way. I will meet him at the school to pick up the dog so he has time to warm up. I love my son, and I love his dog. Pops in logistics.

When we bought our first home in 1982 interest rate was 13%. We refinanced 2x's

And required 20% down right? Interest rates were higher back then, that was before interest rates were manipulated to influence the market. I am pretty pleased with my 2.75% put 50% down and market on lake places is stable my market value has gone up over $200,000. I have always had a horse shoe up my arse when it came to real estate.

I wanted to get my weekend kicked off early cause I have a lot of things I want to get done. Got up at 5 AM, got my shower, fix a minor problem in the house, feed the cats, cleaned litter boxes and made my list for things I needed for a fast trip to Grand Forks. Good to go at 6:30 AM. It is now 7:33 and still waiting for the wife to be done getting ready. How the heck can it take them 1.5 hours to get ready for a quick trip to town ?? You don't need to be dolled up for flipping Menards !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the way to the city, she said she needed to find a couple outfits for 2 weddings coming up. An hour later, 8 different outfits tried on and the dreaded question for each outfit... "What do you think??". The same answer... "Looks good.". Finally, we went to get the stuff I need. 20 minutes and we were on our way home. Then out of the blue, I need stuff at Walmart. Another hour lost.

We did have a lot of fun, so this is just a very slight rant. Oh, and she only got 3 different outfits for the 2 weddings. I guess you have to factor in weather now when buying the number of outfits.

Blew a tire on the turnpike on the boat trailer at 5am, fixed it in 15 mins and was back on the road. Luckily I was right by an emergency pull off. Tires aren’t even a yr old. Did manage 3 nice walleye, so that made it better.

Had 3 red squirrels in 3 different trees this morning at one time (rare). Shot one, swung to another, "nuttin". My .22 was jammed.
By the time I got it cleared, they were gone.
Quite sure their days are numbered but would loved a triple.

I seem to be repairing a lot of things lately. I’m no mechanic, but my Husqvarna 350 chainsaw has been malfunctioning for a while. It would start but die under any load.

I assumed it was a carburetor issue so even though I’ve never worked on any type of carburetor before I picked up a can of carb cleaner and set in. It was really quite simple and everything was great until I was reassembling the carburetor and noticed a piece was missing.

The missing piece was a little plastic limiter that snaps onto the end of one of the needle valves (?) to keep it from vibrating out and changing the speed. I tore the entire area apart but couldn’t find it.

I put the stupid thing back together anyway and the saw runs great for the time being. I will just remember that if it vibrates out and changes the adjustment I need to use a small screwdriver to tighten it all the way down and then back it off one and five eighths turn.

I still don’t understand why those limiters are there since there are holes for a screwdriver to get to the needle valves but a limiter means you can’t adjust them.

They want you to take it to their dealer for repair. In fact, new saws dont use a screw driver for adjustment anymore. Generally, its some type of splined shaft. And they wont sell you the tool. Its "against the law".

You can buy an assortment pack of those types of tools on Amazon. Joe Chinaman say, CARB compliant? What that?

Buy a professional grade saw not consumer grade, night and day brother. Chech out the Stihl new fuel injected saw, that SOB will rip thru a log.

Putting this here because, doesn't deserve a new thread.
Wow I'll never buy a home in a place called "Rolling Hills"
California, can't handle droughts, fires or water.
I wonder just how much they contribute, as well as everyone else living in nature's target areas, to the rising insurance cost. How much are those not not living in beautiful "Disaster " areas getting hosed.....

Delta airlines, you suck today, could not get me out of Shreeveport on time to make my flight to Minneapolis to sit in my usual seat 2A, made my advance menu selection. Instead of landing in Minneapolis at 6:15 now 9:30 and I am sitting in coach. I do not do coach, because it sucks, pissed off.

Got home at midnight could not sleep till 3 up at 6. I was in a fowl mood the dogs even would not come near me. I get to work to deal with 3 days of decisions people could not make. Memo was printed with only my cell number in big print, no excuse if you can not make a decision call me do not wait 3 days to put things in production, or make a customer wait 3 days for a question to be answered. People that need to be micromanaged bug me.

I’m a young guy but I’ll say it, millennials can’t manage their way out of a wet paper sack. Blows me away how many folks are afraid to dial a phone number instead of sitting on a problem. Same issue happened when I was away in FL last week.

It's not just millennials and the bigger problem is a lack of accountability, imho.

I'm working with a pretty senior person at the bank...yesterday I suggested we capture some information about the revenue improvements for a project...it was like I pulled out a cross and holy water.
