    F%#n ethanol!
Just went and picked up a used riding lawnmower.
Owner said it ran fine when he parked it 2 years ago.
Got it home, charged battery, wouldn't fire. Would with a shot of starting fluid.
    Took of carb and bowl.
    Un fricken real.

Idk that I would expect much in a machine that has set for two years…even if “the owner said it ran fine.”

    Caveat emptor!

Had to cancel Grandsons game tonight. All you can see is a haze blocking the sun and the smell of smoke in the air from Canada's wild fires. Strange how this effect the animals its been eerily quiet in the woods today. Even the flock has been very quiet.

Oh there are lots of critter around that said the birds were really quiet. The critters I listen to moving around in the brush around the garden were absent. The hawks, eagles and crow normally sailing the currents over head were missing and the deer were out mid day in the farmers field, that never happens it was like they didn't trust the woods. The smoke was pretty heavy and there was a particular "line" hovering a few feet off the ground. in fact the smell is still coming through the window as I type this. As I mentioned even our birds were very quiet and they are pretty vocal. The rooster's learning to crow and the 2 toms to gobble. Not a peep out of them today and they roosted most of the day. Just a strange day today, hope the winds change.

Holy cow it's way worse today. All windows closed, it's really cold and sticking your head out the door is like sticking your head over a smoldering fire pit. Dang I feel for those north of us.

BNB Startron is your friend with using current gas, will prevent that build up, I swear by it for marine engines and any small engine.

Went out for dinner last night with 3 legends of Minnesota wildland fire, peers and great friends. Was supposed to be a dinner to celebrate and it was. Learned our youngest little brother has a fireground carreer ending injury. Imagine 3 guys over 57 oldest 65 crying with him as we talked about it. Crying with him, I was very lucky I went on my terms, to have it taken from you because of injury is brutal.

I’ve worked remote at least part time for probably 30 years. The pandemic forced people to work remote. Some/most companies have now formalized hybrid and return to office protocols.

Selfishly, I’ve adjusted to being in the office Tues-Thurs…

This morning new ‘guidance’ that includes the following:[IMG]

    Oh hell no!

At least your job can be done from home if you choose. I went into the office every day, pandemic be damned!

Got just enough rain to keep me from mowing or weed wacking. A wet mower deck or wet weeds stuck every where on me, doesn't take much rain to deter either.

Saying good bye to 16 yr old grand pup. Like us a few years ago the kids have lost both dogs they've had since grad school over last two yrs.. It is so tough, but then we set ourselves up for the same pain in another 12-16 yrs. Obviously the joy our pets give us out weighs the pain in the end. God rest Sam and God bless kids you were great pup parents.

Gosh darn it that will never get easy. I think we all went through 3 boxes of kleenex. Vets crying, techs crying she was a loved pup for sure. They did an excellent job and she went so peacefully. If there is good in the universe she's running with her " sister" chasing chippers and diving in ponds now. God Bless

Could not find my good gas can pissed at myself because I had the BS chugger gas can in the garage. Found it out in the shed. Does that mean I am getting old if I have a good gas can?

My wife has worked at schools for 20 plus years. She got paid during the school year and about 2 weeks of non student contact days. It was the way it was we dealt with it. Now our citidiots in St. Paul have decided that school staff like her are available for unemployment. I would rather have lower taxes. At least when my wife texts me pictures of fish she is catching when I am at work she is getting paid.
