I just love getting involved in problem projects 3/4 of the way through or even in the beginning. Why is resolving conflicts and negotiating so difficult? I get a file from a sales guy and he says this guy is all pissed off and wants to cancel the order and refuses to comply with the terms of sale. This is work I take home with me. I call the guy he tries to be pissed but I explained the situation and we resolved it equipment will ship tomorrow lien will go on tomarrow and we will get paid for equipment that we have built and paid for over 90 days ago. Not that tough to figure out people. That is why I can never retire.
Sounds like (BAU) sales, procurement/legal and production/delivery teams could be disconnected...just need to rise to the right level to chug through the BS ands get everybody aligned. I don't envy, but I've seen this movie or variations of it before
Or having what they perceive as difficult conversations with customers, vendors, partners, or anyone for that matter. Funny part is, 9 out of 10 times, the "difficult" conversation ends up not being nearly as much of a problem as they thought it would be.
If you stay in front of the issues and be proactive. I have explained many times it is better to call a client if there is a delay rather than waiting for them to call pissed off. Easy for them when they a fixer like me.
I tell all of my people that if a client has to ask us where we're at with a project, we've failed to communicate properly.
People at work that do things, "just because". Then you really analyze the action and it makes 0 logical sense. Explain it. No change. Ughhh
I haven't been on much the last week, one noticed post saw little intrest which is OK because lots is just for my time reference. Like dates I did things. The other is , and a warning TICKS ARE BAD THIS YEAR!! I use 40% deet. It actually sits on railing next to door. I do 3 loads of laundry per day because after being out working I roll my pants and socks down inside out then put in washer. I very been bitten 3 x's and started having nasty symptoms. I went in for several blood panels and I'm on Doxycycline Hyclate for 21 days. I'm walking like a 90 yr old and exhausted all the time. Plus now I can't be in the sun until off meds.. BTW, no joke on that tried the lotion, long sleeves pants and big floppy hat to plant the garden. I wasn't burnt but felt like I was on a rotisserie over an open flame. Lyme disease SUCKS!
I have at least one mouse living in my bass boat. I've put out sticky traps and regular traps and haven't killed it yet. The little jerk ate through the line on four poles and ate a skirt off a spinnerbait. It keeps shredding any packaging and keeps destroying my emergency toilet paper. It got stuck on a sticky trap once but got off. I could see fur and a little blood on it. Then the little bastage started shredding that same sticky trap for bedding. The regular traps have been tripped but no mouse. I'm considering using poison as a last resort but I don't want a dead mouse in the bilge where I can't get to it. This mouse must be a Boone & Crockett rodent.
I’d have to scale it down. It’s only in the bilge and it is traveling the rod holder tubes to get to the two storage compartments they are located in. Those compartments are pretty small. Maybe a large glass bowl of water. If it fell it it couldn’t get out.
We use rodent repellent pacs in all equipment engine's. They smell go I d and do seem to work but need replacing every month. Not cheap.
I saw a boat pulling kids on a tube yesterday on a cold damp windy day the water can not be 50 degrees. Are you people nuts?
I do have a pointing chihuahua that hunts by sound, she works for bud light Platnium, not regular Bud Light.
