How much of the 30" do you already have? We have a little over an inch but we are at least 6-7 hours behind in storm time. I'm due east of that area-located along the Bay of Green Bay.
I used to be the same way. Will not do that anymore. Not worth it even if you have an all wheel vehicle.
At 4:45 there is nobody on the road, I drive with my brights on because no oncoming traffic till St cloud then you get in full defensive driving mode.
Made it to my daughter’s house about a half hour ago. It was an interesting drive with the crazy wind. Most of the time it was a headwind so I averaged 12.5 mpg towing the boat. Tomorrow should be a really good day for fishing.
Point of order! Unless you are complaining about the gas mileage, this doesn't qualify as a rant. Alternative interpretation: retired guy complains about having to drive while stopping to visit daughter and grandchild as a part of a fishing road trip.
