Fake Hallmark holliday that Dad's and husbands get nothing but crap. I get up every day and work for the love of my family to provide, some "special" day in February isn't changing the fact it is the **** time of winter.

It's A kids day. Every "holiday " has become what you said . That said though unfortunately there are many not like you , me, hubby or many we may know, that do the loving things regularly and they need prompting. Others well they probably deserve a little smile once in a while. Yesterday I was selfish, I made a bunch of people laugh throughout the day in person and on the phone. Got some thank yous for the effort. It cost me nothing but made me feel good and knew it would.
So seeing it's past an arbitrary day. ....have a great day the sun's up and your breathing, not a bad start.

Sunday will be a holiday for me, the kids decided they are having Sunday dinner at the lake and I don't have to cook. That is what love is.

If my dying breath is into your ear, you can expect my tongue to be with it.

Friggin broken ribs keeping me from crappie fishing out of my boat by myself in March! Friggin doctor has no clue how bad I love to fish in the spring! If I don't get hurt he will never know? Right!

I have an employee who has called off 14% of her shifts in the last year. We gave verbal warning, written is next. Letter is written, and now she has called off yesterday and today. We are finally at the position where we can afford to get rid of employees - but it's hard when you have to follow board ran rules.

Someday, when I retire, I am going to write a book. The title will be, “Medical school, how did these DAs get in here?” tagline, “the hero you didn’t know you needed. How one man’s career saved you from fools becoming doctors.”

    Work!

Last week of Feb or first week of March was supposed to be when my company said "sorry, picman, we don't need you any more".

They continue making changes to who is going to be picking up my duties. They now have 3 people that will take over various of my duties. 3 people that I have to train. That pushed my exit date to early April.

Today, the boss says there is a "glitch that will become apparent" that will push my date further back. WTF??

Wife has our first turkey season. So, I will be taking vacation at that time-if I'm still here. And if that Friday was supposed to be my last day....boo hoo. No smoked venison or fish as my parting gift to the people I worked with.
