    Ouch!
Daughters engine (turbo) went down then same day the motor in her convection over burnt up and caught on fire. Thank God they caught it fast enough. Just damaged the oven interior and all wiring. Could have taken out the house. I told her there's always something good in all the bad...still have a home and their pets.

We are getting it. Not the snow but it is 6 below zero with out the high winds. I did have to shovel the drive at mid night for the kids today. Wind literally blew me back a couple of times.
So Son lost power yesterday. Lines down all over. Thank God for wood stoves and generators.
Daughter may not make it today, better half is sick.
Money we spent cutting dead trees this year to avoid and more damage(lost a mirror). Well neighbors had a dead tree on his side....
Holes in plastic along wind shield door dent roof dent....why I prefer old cars ..lol

Son still no power. They didn't make it with grand kids. He had to keep getting heaters going 5o keep pipe from freezing . Daughter made it but even though no fever, her better half still was under weather. He made it through though.

The younger generation. Last night at a family gathering I was asked about the world cup, I simply said I am not a soccer fan. That sets them off they have to try to explain to you why you should like soccer. Doesn't help the kid looks just like his Dad, and his dad is a d-bag with a very punchable face.

Before I left I wondered why the hell am I going on this trip, what is the reason. 4 hours into the trip my Dad rear ended another vehicle and then slid along the cable barrier. We limpted into the next town and went to a truck stop. The air bags did not go off but there was rubbing in the front end. I went in and bought a vice grip and a bag of zip ties, went out got out on the ground and started ripping plastic out of the wheel wells, of course my Dad was chirping and fretting me about ripping stuff off. I told him to go take his damn dogs for a walk while I see if we can get the rig back on the road. The drivers door has to be locked to stay shut but nothing is flapping I am driving that POS all the way to florida, the cruise doesn't work but I am driving the rest of the way. Again Please Kill Me

It was chaos not just us but in front on behind as well. That feeling of glad nobody was hurt only lasts a couple minutes working in the cold, when I was done zip tying I said That's not going anywhere.

Yeah I am on night two. I spent over an hour getting thru Chatanouga and another hour plus getting thru Atlanta. Not pissed at my Dad not not taking a bit of **** for doing what needs to be done. I will deliver him and his dogs and his sister as promised on schedule safely. Something my siblings would not or could not do. I get it, imagine a wealthy old man who is on his own who is used to taking care of all arraingements for him, my Mom is gone so he has nobody to have petty arguments with. I will take great pride in parking that beat up zip tied door taped shut in the driveway tomorrow at the compound. I will go directly in the house grab the keys to my moms convertable drive down to the point and watch the sun set on the gulf and disobey the rules and have a couple platniums and wish I was in a kayak fishing.

Ugh, I cannot stand the ineptitude I deal with on a daily basis. Sadly, it mostly comes from management.

    Not a rant but a .Thought/ question
Your in Buffalo, over due to deliver and the baby arrives Christmas Eve(?) in the midst of a BLIZZARD. there is a no drive issued but get to the hospital for delivery. Now your not allowed to leave. Stuck in the hospital going on 5 DAYS.
Who's paying that bill? Will the issuance fight these bills? Obviously your not the only patient that could have left unable to. This will get interesting....
