Going to be staying right here in this thread for now. Last post on it until outcome known. I have an equal chance right now of taking it to the other thread or making @Sota look like a teddy bear who receives hugs from strangers without permission and enjoys it Either way, I have 100% commitment to my decision on the outcome.
Holy effing chit..... Anyone priced tires lately? OMG, what a freaking chit show Biden is. Nov. 8th cannot get here soon enough and I hope liberal tears flood the rivers acrossed this once great country(pre Trump even). $1300 for 4 middle if the ground tires FJB!
Forget all of my above ranting and raving. No value in it. I am drawing a line. ____________________________________________ Friday afternoon I will update this post, for better or worst I'll update. A week ago today this began, I will not play pussy foot.
This past May I got my lifetime service pin for the fire department. Since then, the drama has turned ridiculously stupid from one active member and his retired father. Last meeting his father screamed at me, told another member to shut up, and just caused a bunch of havoc. Last night the son yelled at our chief because he wasn't going to do a social event on Saturday. IT'S HUNTING SEASON. My chief (like a second dad to me) and me are the only hunters in the department. This is our thing. He told the chief that he doesn't do anything, blah blah blah. So chief pulled him in for a private meeting and he starts talking about how I see no future of the department, I don't do anything to help out (mind you I am an officer on two sides AND am the fundraiser coordinator) etc. Does anyone else see the younger generation and those up and coming willing to give up 1000+ hours to train and VOLUNTEER for something? Because I surely don't = no future. This drama is way over what my patience can handle.
No offense and I'm not trying to stick up for the guy but if the chief decided not to do a social event, I'd be upset too. Social events are supposed to be about interacting with the community and if the chief decides to skip out because he wants to hunt, then maybe he shouldn't be chief. A good leader is one that leads by example. The chief knew that when he took the job, that things like this would come up and it's his responsibility to be there.
See, the thing is - the Chief said two years ago he wanted to step down. However, the next in line has been battling cancer. So, chief stayed on as according to by-laws noone else is eligible while next in line recovers (my mom) and he can help train the other. The chief started delegating things to other officers to be able to "step-back". One officer got health issues himself - so now we have four. We only have seven members total that are active. I also told the guy that I wouldn't be there two months ago when it was brought up about doing this (it's not even in our town). So yes, a chief is to lead - however, we are not a normal situation regardless. He knew two months ago we wouldn't be around.
Ordered 2 chunks of synthetic flooring 94-1/2" long would fit prefect. What was shipped was 93" worthless.
Waiting for my car to charge for the 9th time this weekend. Road trips with a E.car are pointless and ridiculous. If you don't own one and drive it more than 3 miles around the city you should not be able to talk on the subject. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Brainless drivers on one lane highways. Followed a string of cars most of the way home from deer camp yesterday. Speed limit 65, a van at the front varying from 45 to 60 the whole way. Car right behind him won't pass, but doesn't leave room to get between them. Had to have room to pass both of them to get around them. Law says if holding up 3 or more, pull over and let pass. TWO State Troopers went by and ignored. Several cars in string raging, pulling out to pass in places they shouldn't have and having to slam on brakes to duck back it. Amazing there was no accident, so many close calls. 70 miles of this. I backed way off so people could leap frog around me, pulling camp trailer with atv in the back of pickup meant I couldn't just shoot around them quickly. Finally hit the double lane, guy in van driving with men & women passengers, women all wearing head scarves. All part of some religious group I'd assume. Car right behind them being driven by a woman wearing same. Traveling together and too stupid to leave a gap or pull over. I really missed out on a great Tik Tok video when we hit the double lane, 15 rigs going by and every single one of them hanging the bird out their window. I hear commercials all the time about cracking down on road rage, always commenting about "aggressive drivers". Want to see 90% of road rage simply go away? Enforce the 3 or more pull over law, and left lane camping too.
I am not buying the 90% of road rage simply going away. After reading Sota's road rage posts in the Rant Thread for the last few years, he is probably 20% of all road rage going on. Your number is probably closer to 75 - 80% with that in mind.
