Well, looks like I may be taking a rutcation after all. Was going to be soending 2 week in Ft. Meyers Dec. 23rd-Jan 6th. The place is on Ft. Meyers beach about 3 blocks off the coast. Going to miss the eye but the storm surge will likely destroy the place.
Screwed our place is just south of Bradenton. The only thing I care about are the pictures in the house, and my saltwater rods and kayaks, and the convertible, oh and the well stocked bar.
That's a bad spot to be for this track. Normally the strongest winds are in the NE quadrant, but with this one they are being found in the western eyewall.
Took a last second wobble east and direct hit in the southeastern eye wall. Don't need to wait for the storm to clear to know it is under water.
Sounds like we dodged a bullet no major damage in the neighborhood, will get a further update later today.
Met the woman who sells my wife big damn expensive rocks for lunch. Holy **** her and my wife got into the margaritas. The woman has zero filter and curses more than I do, my wife is no better except she doesn't curse that much, usually only at me. My son and I were like holy shat the women are getting after it. Back at the hotel my wife is napping, hard she has to be up in 15 minutes to head to the concert.
Good deal, took a hard east turn and never went back north. Guess it is a wind friction thing, winds blowing over land have more friction than over water so it caused it to pivot onto land. Haven't heard anymore on the beach house we were going to stay in, but even if it structurally held it would be a complete gut and redo. I don't know how insurance works, especially since he just bought the place back in May/June he may opt to not rebuild. Still amazed that people choose to build and can get insured building on barrier islands like they do.
Red Rocks, stunning venue, outstanding concert. If you ever go to Red Rocks be prepared to wait in your car to get there, wait in line to get in, wait in line to get a beer. If you Uber the pick up lot is the lowest level lot, stairs from hell to get there. After standing for 3 hours the walk was hell.
I want to strangle my neighbor across the street. Beautiful afternoon and he goes and sprays the worst smelling bug killer in his garden. For 4 hrs it has ruined the afternoon. Dude I'm telling you it is the worst smelling crap I've ever smelled. Spray the crap after dark ahole!
Intentional, worst business operation software ever. My company switched over to Workday a couple of months ago. Much easier to use after the learning curve.
I'm just learning SAP for work order management...what a joke. We use Workday as well but all of work orders and pms are though sap. It may be good at something but I'm not sure what Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
School shooter threat! At our grandsons school! Now we are out here 50 miles from the nearest "big city". Farm country. THANK GOD IT WAS Emailed in Ahead of time and quick response, closed school found to be a credible threat ...middle schooler found. We already had a kid in his class last year make it to school with a pellet gun. 2nd grade. I don't blame the kids the parents WTH!
Laying on a boat floor cutting thru plywood with a cut off tool for cutting iron, had to know if I was hitting aluminum. Took 3 hours, sucks but I got it out.
Getting to the point where coming to work is getting hard. But, I am tired of the BS now. I used to really like my job. The short staffness, which is everywhere, is a pain in the ass. But, the crap I have to put up with the employees we do have is driving me insane.
Gah. I just called to get my fuel oil filled for the house since it's a chance of snow next week....$4.79 a gallon. How is anyone going to afford to heat their homes this winter?!
