Holy crap does the government make the employment application process difficult. Received the job offer today and submitted the criminal background check info. Job offer is not a formal job offer, just a continuation of the process. Not sure if anything in my past will be a prohibitor or not. Anything that would, would be well over 25 years ago. Young and dumb. Not sure at what stage the $$ comes up. That's ultimately the biggest factor in my decision.

Reading the fine print if the email they are only looking at the previous 5 years. Yet when completing the application and submitting to the background checks there is no timeframe designated. I choose honesty over misunderstanding, I might have an appeal over telling the truth rather than knowingly lieing. Truth be told, I don't think I can take the hourly pay cut if what I have researched is true.
Are you going for management? I ask because aren't they union and that limits negotiation on a one to one bases, non management doesn't it?
I’d love to see the look on the TSA guys face when that suitcase goes through the X-Ray machine. As well as watch as you tell them it’s full of rocks and then have to explain to them why you’ve got a suitcase full of rocks. I mean I have no idea what a suitcase full of rocks would look like on an X-Ray machine but I be willing to wager that whatever they look like it’s going to make them wanna open that suitcase up and take a closer look. You should slap a BLM sticker on the suitcase and dress in all black and when they ask why you’ve got a suitcase full of rocks just tell them you’re heading to a protest.

Wife was up getting the inlaws settled she called me when she was on the way home, I brushed my teeth and took my gummies and sat down on the couch. Never take gummies and sit on the couch, I was out before she got home I woke up at 1:30 and stumbled to bed. Thing about getting old you stop moving and sit down after 7:30 you can fall asleep.
It's not pothole birthing season yet in lower MI. You would like driving in the Detroit area say about March-April time frame.
I think I am wasting their time as well as mine. I just don't see them coming close to my current pay, especially after they(my current work) tell me how much my cost of living increase is. Went to schedule fingerprinting today and their machine is down. Think that was my cue I've went far enough in the process and back out now. On the other hand, during the application process when asked about current/most recent employment it asked how much I currently made. Not sure if it takes that into the equation or not, I mean it is the government and they love to waste/overspend.

Son is coming up to pick his dog and go for 1 last water ski tonight. Weather is going to be perfect calm winds. I will be pulling the boat tomorrow after work. I am putting a new floor in the boat and want to get the old floor ripped out before it gets cold.
