Friggin symptoms of my right eye infection are coming back. Black lines in my peripheral vision and cloudiness. Monday I have to find a new doctor here in the new area.
Worked my ass off today trimming shooting lanes. Went to a local bar to have a few beers. In walks a fricken (herd) of young women. 8 or 9. They sat at a table right behind me. Average weight was I'd guess 225/250lbs. 1 was wearing pants. The others shorts/ baggy skirts. All wearing WAY TOOmuch make<up. Made me wanna gag as I grew up in the 80:s_90:s when young women were seldom fat. There will be some guy coming in there tonight and try to tap one of those.
You know why they were seldom faster in the 70' ......disco.....live bands and way more night clubs. Everyone was out partying and dancing the night away....I know because I was a bartender and a night club manager back then. Then came law suits and moms against drunk driving( not that I condone drunk driving, AT ALL) venues started closing up. Just like roller rinks. Not just that no one liked roller skating....accidents and insurances. Horse back riding went the same way. Animal rights and insurances. Groups pressure and they go through not just law but insurance. Just like saving fuel by wood burning...insurance either sky high or you lose your home policy doing so....
According to all the hysteria over these higher temps. Which by the way isn't all that bad here in the North East. The world should have ended decades ago,because...In 1936 there was literally the same type of heat wave . Temps in the North East 100 and above. We here on the Hill in NYS have not gone above 93....So..... In 2010 it was just .5 degrees higher than the previous"heat wave" that was 2.0 above high averages. We have the dumbest youth in history, because not one of them are actually taught history. They are not to taught to investigate ,with all their tech at their finger tips, reality. They don't even feel embarrassment for their ignorance. Hyperbolic click bait "News" fuelling the BULL ****E.
All the nonsense that follows owning a pool. I get it it's first world problems but gd it's a pain. Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
I did a roof once, during the summer, in Augusta GA...I've also done a fair bit of drywall. They both suck!
Once? Done so many I can't count. Mostly family and friends trying to save some money. Somehow it always winds up on the hottest day we've seen in ten years. Lol. Wasn't the work, it was the heat. Miserable. Never, ever skimp on roofing. I don't care what your code says. Over do it. I don't want to step foot on your roof for another 15 years. Done right, that'll come true. Hopefully by then you have a decent job and enough money to pay someone else to do it.
wife is making a pool a priority in our house hunting. She has never lived in a house with a pool. I have lived in 3 homes with pools. Owning a pool sucks. In our 8 years living together, I think I have seen my wife in.... 0 pools. I will put this in the Good Idea File, which is right between her Peloton bike and Peloton treadmill, neither of which have been turned on in 2022.
Oh, don't get me wrong,I've done many. But in 100 degree shade/ground temps and about 90% humidity in GA it sucks sweaty balls. I learned a lot. I learned more about roofing though after moving to Charlotte, from a former FL roofer, working on Habitat Houses. We'd knock out a roof on those houses in a few hrs. I paid to have the roof redone on my current house a couple years ago...not the cheapest bid. I probably would last the rest of my life, if we were to stay here, but we probably will start building our retirement place within the next 24 months.
Did a 31 square house 3 weeks ago. Every bundle up the ladder on my shoulder. 93 bundles. I aint 25 anymore Getting tougher to do at 58 years old .
Here is my stance on pools, own a pool and you suddenly have more drop ins than you would ever want. People are nasty kids are nastier they all will pee in a pool. I'd rather swim in a pond or lake filled with fish droppings than a little pool and human urine, no filter cleans fast enough. Now here is my ordeal in a pool. 17 and watching baby nephew. I had to take him to baby swim at the local YMCA pool. It was blow in face and dip under water . A bunch of adults and babies. Well I turn in pool and there at face level is.....a floating turd! There's a lesson I will never forget. It's impossible to run away from a turd in a pool...it will follow you! Yep, last time I stepped into a pool, that was a high school battle...I won ,though it required a blk. Mail card....coach and teacher sex in pool card, I got a pass.
