Why are toilet seats so flimsy? There was a time you could close the lid and sit on them without fear you were going to fall through...

I agree with with your post. Especially messing with tractor tires. My tractor tires are loaded with Rim Guard which is beet juice. This stuff is not caustic but is a sticky mess. The other day I noticed that one of my front tires looked low on air. I wheeled up to the shop and got the valve stem to the 12 o'clock position. Poked the valve to remove the bulk of the fluid from the valve stem and added air. Success! Then I thought the other side could use a shot of air as well. That's when things went to heck. I repeated the same process as the other tire. This time when I removed the air nozzle after adding air the valve wouldn't seal. The tire started blowing a sticky mess all over everywhere. I quickly covered the valve stem with a rag, grabbed the screwdriver and gave the valve a few pokes until it sealed. By then I had to add more air. Thankfully, the valve sealed after that attempt but I still had a big mess to clean up.

So much for my ......I'll just quickly add a little air idea.

We hire a guy that comes out. So far two flats and 4 brand new tires. It's killing us...all theses guys are older than us and no one to replace them...this country is really screwed. Our tree guys are in their 70' dropping and stacking huge beech. Not a light tree, maple too. We called several and they wouldn't even do a call back. ..collision shops that won't do touch ups, roofers that won't do steep roofs, tree cutters that don't call back, tractor guys that don't do tires or minor repair on site.. groomers that don't want large breeds The list s long and getting longer...Oh propane companies that no longer have furnace or water heater guys and won't bury the lines for new tanks WTH!

I’m curious why do you add chloride or rim guard to the tires?

It adds weight (a lot of weight ) to the tires for traction. For example, the rear tires on my relatively small New Holland tractor hold 600 pounds of fluid ..... each! Rim guard weighs about 11.2 pounds per gallon vs water at about 8.4. Each back tire has about 55 gallons of fluid in them.

So when you lift weight in your bucket you don't tip forward. Even at that tractor weights or something on the 3pt isn't a bad idea. Tractors with cabs especially are top heavy. Inclines even small ones would be an issue with out extra weight.

You are right. That backhoe in the picture above adds at least 1000 lbs more to the tractor. I've never picked the back tires off the ground with that on back. I have done so with a lighter implement. Don't like doing that.

The JD 2010 diesel tractor is running after sitting 8 years. That is the one with chloride in the tires. That will be a problem for another day though. I am beat.

I'm not sure what just happened. Exhausted. Pulled into a rest stop and cracked my window to rest. Some older guys pulls up next to me and within 5 min, starts looking at me over and over and then gets out, walks over and then leans into my window and asks me about my trip...tells me he likes my haircut or lack thereof....not sure if words nicest guy or wanted a bologna sandwich. Maybe I picked the blue oyster bar rest stop.

A storm knocked out the power last night just before bedtime. It sure gets dark out in the sticks. I spent an hour and a half calming nervous dogs when thankfully, the power came back on.

Going to a restaurant and telling the waitress you want the bill, daughters says no she was taking it... I actually reach for it and say it's her birthday, daughter says mothers day....waitress hands it to my daughter! OK that has had me pissed all day and I'm still ticked off. I got the tip and yes more than 20% for a crazy expensive lunch that was prepared totally wrong for my Keto order. I was a waitress so just can't under tip, besides in daughters home range and people remember. Daughters pasta was dry with little sauce... I think she felt bad because I had to pick through my meal to be able to eat it. there rant done, I'll move on.

We went to Sam's club a week ago and we bought all kinds of meat, including chicken.

It was two local stores..a Tops market and a Shurefine/ better buy that did not have chicken...other than a few pack s of drum sticks
Sam's had all kinds of meat but not a lot of other things...also low on things like cooking oils. They had a variety of cheeses but just a few on shelves, way low on fresh veggies other than potatoes. I also noticed more floor space.

Let's just say I handed over the equivalent of 2 good e bikes today. That said most of dead and all power line roof and drive way issues are down. Not talking small trees and several were dead dead dead and hollow. Took those fine old guys 3days with a huge lift truck. They did a good job. Now son needs to come get the wood and hubby insists, against my cheap wishes on renting a big chipper. I would do the clean up but nooooooo. Hhhmmmm I can use the chips in my garden in a few years bury them under a lot of leaf litter than then a pile of fresh manure from a neighbour I'll have soil in no time.

I ordered new blades for my mower, I was kinda excited to mow so I could put the weed and feed down. What I received via UPS was a wheel not blades.
