The boss's wife is in NC seeing family. We get the daily updates on how nice it is there. He is starting to worry she might not come back with the cr@p weather we have. LOL Rain starting tomorrow and finally ending Sunday. Mid 40's and wind. Yay, another lovely weekend.
Looking back on life, moving out of NY and moving south was one of my best life moves. I only wish my wife was more a fan of the foothills/ mountains, a bit further west of me where you’d get a tad cooler weather and a few snows a year. Of course, job opportunities and quite on par with ‘the big city’…
It was a crunchy whopping 26 °this morning...winter hunt gear is getting Sawyers. Froze my fanny this morning. It was great getting out at predawn watching the woods wake up though.
Depends on where you are in the state. Mostly the eastern most quarter of the state is low country and at heavy risk from hurricanes. I’m 150-300 miles inland from nearest ocean (nc/sc line) out to the outer banks. Hugo in 1989 did some damage to this area and some other storm forgot its name dumped 14” rain once…
Go to the local grocery store with the daughter and see some mid 50ish guy acting weird by the fruit. I then see him look around and open a bag of grapes, take a handful and eat them, look around and then do it again. Then seals the bag back up, leaves it in the fruit sections and walks off. Guy had a cart full of food and looked pretty well off. I usually don't get involved with crap but I seriously wanted to chew that sob out.
Went shopping with a neighbour. Mind you they owned their own car repair shop. She grabs a bag of cherries and walks around the store. I see her eating them...WTH! I said you know they sell those by the pound. Ya, was the response. She strolled through the store eating them and then placed the bag on a shelf and continue walking to check out. That was an akward ride home and I never went any place with her again. It made me wonder just how much "cheating" they did in their repair shop....hhhmmmmm
Well after yesterday survived my two weeks on days at work and all i can say is holy **** ha. It's not trally the hours that bother me, nights or days, but there's no way I can be around the ppl. One dude in particular in the laziest pos I've ever seen. The last day I bout lost it. I'm finding the older i get the less patience have for dumb ppl. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
So Hunter next door showed up. Here's my prediction, granted he had to have seen my turkey chair against the tree at my ground blind, he at day light will be sitting less than 10 yards off the property line facing me. I' m 30'yards in facing the middle of my land. I now have to worry about him shooting me because the spot I cleared a path to for the Jake and hen decoys is between me and him 10 yards away. I need the birds to want to walk towards/past me at fly down. That blinds been there for years. Every year he sits at the same tree facing me. You'd think the roll of chain link would have been a hint. If he is there in the morning you can bet that after my first bird I'll be out there every morning working , pounding posts in the ground.
Apparently there is either a shortage of powdered dish detergent or the soap barons have discontinued it in order to force more people to buy those dumbass pods. Tried all 3 grocery stores in town and not a single one had any powdered detergent. Finally found it at a little Mexican store but even they only had two boxes.
I put off getting a new phone for a long time so today I figured today is the day. Go to the at&t store god I hate upselling just get me a damn phone, then zippy asks me if I want a purple i phone, imagine my reply. hour and 45 minutes later I am back in business, what a pain.
Not bad for an April 19th call. Might feel a bit more Summerish but will at least be warmer than this crap.
