I went to the local Dollar General to pick up some tissue to wrap the grandsons Easter goodies. I'm looking for it when I hear an employee tell a friend or customer..." Yell I'm just going to turn him in for a hostile work environment if he doesn't give me what I want". I rounded the corner to a white trash looking early 20 something girl. It took me everything I had not to tell her she needed a good ass beating.
Where is a steady East wind when you need it? All you guys west of me with snow...it arrived here this morning....there were some cold sunrise services going on out there today.
E, SE winds here again. 23 mph wind gusting to 30 mph. Snowing. Predicting 8-12 inches of the white cr@p. So sick of snow.
Other peoples kids... had been a couple years since the was a family gathering at the inlaws. My wife's niece has a kid the same age as my grandson, the kid is a screamer when ever he does not get what he wants. This happened twice and my grandson looked at him and took his toys and candy and went to the other room, he followed his grandpa.
The weather man is reporting 5 to 11 inches of snow here starting around 7pm. I hope he is as accurate as he was during hunting season with the wind. It will probably be 75 degrees the next two days.
Freeze warning here tonight, 80's this weekemd and back to the 40's next week. Will rinse and repeat through the first week or two of May. If anything, maybe we can skip over the Buffalo Gnats this year. Will be worth the trade if so, IMO
A few inches of snow due over night the winds are nasty. A.J. and I went out to check the land for Turkey sign. Winds and snow took out borne my doghouse blinds..hey 10 +year run I won't complain. Will build a blind in there place. Not in these winds though it's howling out there. We also found a Fox den with kits. Mom saw us and started barking. As she did everything in her power to get A.J. to chase her away from the kits sitting at one if the den entranceS. To his credit with no E collar on he listened to me and held his ground. She kept coming back closer to entice him away but he was a good boy and stayed. It was interesting to watch. Kits are about the size of a house cat.
Had to remove the sod and topsoil so I can start a deck build. Too much to do by hand. Below is what my yard looked like after the bobcat got done....
With the ground as soft as it is my tractor would have dug it up as well. Usually tractors are a little easier on grass. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
I was thinking renting a sod cutter might have been an option. Take the old sod up to a depth of 3" and could repurpose it elsewhere if it was needed. Only reason it had my interest is because I'm getting ready to do something with my yard where the water line was installed. Just bought an electric cultivator/tiller as I think it will be my best option, just not sure how to go about it without tilling the entire yard. Went with the electric as it is the cheapest option for what I think I need, and will likepy be a garage ornament. Plus I hate 2 strokes for yardwork, loud and obnoxious unless you drop the $$. Which I can't justify for my needs, plus I can start anytime of day/evening. If it works well I may borrow a hammer drill and 3" concrete core bit from work and french drain 3 gutters to the street gutter. Would be perfect for a mini trencher if it handles turf as well as bare ground. Based the buy on this review
My oldest turns 20 today. Although it's a celebration in itself, I miss my little girl. Time is a relentless merciless ***** Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk
Oh Sh!t ........... Soon, we'll be Great Grand Parents! We're already great but you know what I mean.
Global warming...hhmmmm... I've lived long enough to say... This is a typical NYS spring like when I was much younger. Took that through a screen
