So was probably a quarter mile away, hearing it was a vacant house, house is leveled so hopefully no casualties invold directly(unless was vacant and occupied by methheads). Unsure of neighboring structures or injuries. Was in a fairly decent neighborhood, so woupd not be surprised if it is indeed an accident.
As long as they didn't take me out Was my first thought though, he was out in his drive behind the house with a fire going. Shortly after the explosion the fire went out Paranoia.......
Been light ran here for 2 days. Last night, mother nature turned the tap on full. We will be getting an additional 2.1 inches if rain followed by 3/4" snow tonight. Good thing this wasn't snow or we would be looking like our tax day storm from 2018.
Thieves ...... I hate thieves! I got a call at 6:15 am this morning from the Sheriff saying that he was acting on a tip that our storage units were broken into again. So I got dressed, poured a cup of coffee and drove out to meet him. Sure enough, one of the units had the lock cut off. Last time it was 4 units. I suggested to these people to get the heavy duty, round storage unit locks as the thieves were targeting the smaller, weaker locks. The ones that can be easily cut with a cheap pair of bolt cutters. This time it was the same guy that lost most of the things in the last burglary. He put on another cheap lock! WTF With inflation and the cost of everything going up, the thieves are starting to come out of the woodwork. I think that a lot of this type of crime is fueled by drug addiction. There are a few meth heads around. They seem to be targeting items in which to make a fast and easy buck of off. It looks like I'm going to have to install more cameras.
A friend of ours has storage lockers and was having same issue back in 2020 right after COVID started. He upgraded all the locks and so far - doing well. His don't have any cameras as they're in the truck yard. Does that fall on your insurance on, like CLS asked, or can the renters get insurance? I am clueless when it comes to that - but I imagine it's one big hassle.
Called Dr.we are both going in at 2:30 today. Lost voice this morning, chills are nasty, throat is broken glass when I talk or cough. Feel like I've been past through a wring washer. My eyes are burning I don't get hat.
Storage unit renters have to insure their own items at my place. Sent from my SM-G981U using Tapatalk
suspect one of 2 scenarios- either he is defrauding his insurance company -or- he uses it to stash money/dope/guns and his trashbag 'customers' know where his stash is kept. Ask the Sheriff to run a K9 on it, don't be surprised if it alerts.
That's what I wasn't sure of, figured if your insurance was being used if you could have some sort of waiver they would have to read and sign that you could not be held liable unless a certain style or rated lock was used to secure the unit(s). No need to worry about it with your policy.
We both have Covid. On steroids and close watch because they are finding the second week in...the lung issues are popping up.
Good thoughts but not this guy. I've known him for a while ...... old hippie, very simple and not very bright. The stuff he has stored is old junk. I mean ... JUNK.
Thanks guys we are too wiped to do anything but rest. Better now than turkey season. Concerned for hubby he wasn't vaccinated. Let's hope we just have this week of feeling crappy.
best wishes. Try to get yourself some Ivy from Find A Doctor | Early COVID Care Experts or List (doctorsdontfearcovid.com) also, if MABs are avail in your area, get them. Don't let the asshats tell you it's too late. Long as it's less than 14 days after symptoms they can help.
