Here we F ing go again! Got a new assessment they literally doubled the house and land then tripled the other 3 vacant land properties. This including the piece with building restrictions built into the deed and half being swamp "waste" land. This "C" tax assessor has tried this every single time causing us to have to hire our independent assessor to fight it. Just to have her admit she appraised us off of Google maps. I left her a message...not a pleasant or nice message. I told her that NOTHING has changed,in fact house is in worse shape and she has our file, all our pictures, our assessments and she had better have my file read before I call her on Monday. In the mean time I'll be researching any possible legal options we may have due to the dereliction in her job performance causing us undo financial burdens. I will spend money and time to stop this "C" from screwing with us again. Just the fact she'd pull this TOTAL BS just as the Feds have announced a schedule of interest rate hikes that will drop the housing market into the dumpster very soon. When inflation is soaring and people are now starting to show up in droves at food banks. If I have to I will lock all our vacant lands into No development forever wild parcels with zero building lots. We are getting ready to be fixed income and I'll be damned if That "C" is going to make life miserable every 3 yrs..
I'm very worried. I'm married to a hard head! One that never gets sick but started to cough Saturday morning woke up with a headache and a 99.2 temp. I did get him to take 50mg of zinc yesterday and this morning. He won't take anything else but aspirin. No vaccine. His cough worsened all day and through out night. Temp this morning 99.4 cough still bad. Put a call into kids to yell at him.
Just finished reading a book by Ivan Maisel. Reading the book was like being given a bottle of Bacardi 151 that you had to finish. There were times I could not read more than a couple pages and had to shut the book for a while. The name of the book is I Keep Trying To Catch His Eye, the book is about his 21 year old college aged son ending his life.

Up date on assessment.she gave people until March 25th to contact her and make an appointment. I want you to know this ONE woman is the tax assessor for EIGHT, YES EIGHT towns. Mind you not all are small. Well first message was leave a message I'm on duty 9-4 on Monday. I call during her open hours to get message box is full. This making it impossible to reach her in a timely manner. I like records. Her phone # gave me the ability to put her in my contacts thus the ability to send a text that will be recorded on my phone . I text her with a to the point message. I then went down. Cars there, all doors locked up tight. Went shopping and came back at 2pm. Towns hall doors locked but I knew towns clerk was on duty. WTH! They not only installed safety glass across the clerks counter. I'm not talking plexiglass. They installed a floor to ceiling heavy steel accordion gate blocking access to the rest of town hall offices. They knew who I was even with mandatory mask on. Made appointment for April 4th. I told person blocking for her that we've been through this rodeo twice before and there is a thick file that she'd best have read before the 4th. I honestly have no doubt they will have s sheriffs or state troopers standing by the night of the board reviews. 8 towns one person...BS
I am keeping track this summer how many guests how many nights. We have a calendar that my wife uses to schedule the weekends, she told me yesterday she just loves weekends with guests. I love weekends with no guests. I am going to keep receipts too just to show her how much $ gets spent during the summer when she isn't working. Holy boat gas it is going to be a spendy summer. At current prices it will cost $80 to fill the gas tank on the boat, it takes a full tank of gas to get thru a day of waterskiing and tubing. I am lucky though my son will insist on buying gas.

Thanks, we are now both sick. Headache, fever under a hundred, everything hurts, throat feels like ground glass cough and fatigue. Taking zinc and I finally just took ibuprofen for the headache. Thinking of calling Dr. After a hot soak in tub. He never goes to Dr. But he mentioned calling this morning. Zero problems breathing but my eyes are being squeezed out of my head.
Other than the coughing, that sounds like my Covid for about the first 18 hours. Zinc Zinc and more Zinc. Airborne tablets in water give both zinc and Vitamin C and helps hydration.
Idiots who do not know what to do on the on ramp to the freeway, push that skinny pedal on the right F Tard.
That drives me crazy, after any curves with "suggested" speed limits the on ramps are designed to get vehicles up to highway speed before merging, just as off ramps are designed to get vehicles from highway speeds to "suggested" curve speeds after the exit the highway. Another peeve is when you are cruising along in the elft lane pf a 4 lane divided highway, clear sailing ahead. Coming up on two vehicles in the right lane, clearly going faster tham both, when the rear vehicles blinker comes on and they switch lanes. Dammit, slow down so they can pass the one in front, but nooooooo, they either pace just behind or alongside the other vehicle. They just wanted a scenic view or something. That pisses me off to no end and happens way to often. Passing on the left shoulder should be allowed in such instances since vehicles with mechanical problems should always pull of the highway on the righthand side.
Not sure this goes here yet, but... Was sitting here watching TV about to head to bed. Windows rattled and thought someone had banged on the window. Realize now the entire house shook. Watched security cams cycle and no one on property, then the scanner went off. Somewhere a propame or gas explosion occured. Started hearing sirens and a sherrif a few houses down flew by at atleast 70mph. All chatter on scanner were sirens activated, gas company notified, and am address probably 8-10 blocks away came through. As first responders arrived they are talking how a single structure has been leveled and they would be focusing on neighboring structures to save them rather than the place of explosion. Hoping it isn't meth related, but have had some pretty nice weather here the past few days
