Not in illinois. They make a ton of money and all the bennies. I dont have a problem with a dad being at home but most women only get maybe 8 weeks if their lucky. His wife had to go back to work before he had to. I mean 10 weeks is nice but there is a huge difference in the private sector and state of illinois bennies. Private sector doesnt give anything. They make the pay as well for the state. Not to mention their pensions. Its a whole different ball of wax when talking about illinois. Edit: fwiw im talking paid time off . FMLA is unpaid.
In Florida you can get a quick abortion 1 clinic visit. To have someone cremated mandatory 2 day waiting period. How incredibly stupid is that?
Two very valid reasons for that. Firstly, it's to give authorities time to determine if the death was suspicious and they need to request an autopsy. Otherwise every damn spouse killer would order same day cremation to destroy the evidence. Second, it's to give conflicted family members time to file court proceedings. In the event that there are no clear instructions on what to do with the body from the decedent...there are a surprising number of instances where say 2 siblings want different procedures for the parent. (One wants burial, the other wants cremation.) Neither of these are the case in your situation; but there is no one size fits all approach, so the State errs on the side of caution.
Done with it, going to try to get my neighbor monitored for a drug house. Constantly cars in and out, often times the same cars but every now and then new ones show up. Tonight has been a **** show, cars pulling in and sitting in the drive with lights on for half an hour. Another pulls in and parks in the front yard lights shining on my house and sits there, then someone comes out and gets in and the car backs up only to nearly back into a 3 foot diameter tree. 10 minutes later that car comes back. Pulls into the driveway and another car comes up. Pulls to the curb in front of the drive, then backs up, then takes off. No one got out or rolled down window, car in drive backs out and follows it. Trying to figure out how to get camera recordings to upload to a cloud account and save there regardless. This chit is getting stupid anymore and really just started ramping up the last few weeks. Not sure whether to go through Crimestoppers or a tips line/call to sherrif/local city PD.
That sounds like a recipe for a shooting or a home invasion at that location at some pt. Drugged out whackos may even mistake you for being part of that house. Hey man, if people want to do hard drugs, have at it, but when it starts encroaching negatively into another's daily life and safety, all neighborly loyalty is off.
17 days of antibiotics and a week of high dose prednisone and the pressure and pain are relenting. Small change for the better in my vision yesterday. Makes me appreciate my vision.
Will have this fight with my in laws should my wife pass before they do. They are opposed to cremation and have stated they will file suit to stop it. My wife has written out her funeral/cremation/burial wishes. Myself and our 2 children are on board. My wife had her document notarized and sent a copy to her parents. They refused to sign for the letter!
You can get cheap wifi cameras that record to a SD card. Mine was an amazon deal and was like $5....they're up to I believe $25 now. Look into Wyze cameras. I personally would go talk to the police department. If you feel it may be meth - talk to the fire department Chief, as that is a huge concern for firefighters and then they can get the PD involved.
Could she text and e-mail a short version with out giving them A content title. So they open them giving a record they received it and the fact she sent it?
My in-laws used to think burial was the only option. I changed their minds with this logic; is your wife by chance an organ donor? I am and everyone in family knows that my wish is that anything that can be salvaged for someone else should be, the rest can be cremated. I don't need it or want a hole in the ground with a headstone. Maybe that logic could be helpful?
Wife bought gas this morning for $60.00. Three years ago when we bought the car, it was less than $25.
They are slightly less opposed to organ donation. Cremation is a "sin" in their eyes. MIL is most vocal but FIL nods his head in agreement. Hope it never comes to pass but if it does, we have a plan to deal with it.
