I was going to say I bet their softener needs salt or is going bad. Especially if they're as dumb as @TJF says.

Took my little sister kayaking for the first time this morning, it was a struggle navigating the mangrove tunnels with an inexperienced person in the front. We get out to open water and I showed her how to position the paddles to be like mini sails and we drifted all the way to the point in no time at all. 45 minute paddle back to the landing into the wind with an inexperienced paddler drenching me with every stroke. She is my little sister so I never complained. My other sister I would have brought cinder blocks with.

The waterline break that just keeps fighting back at me.

Just knocked down the mounds, surprised at how loose it still is, kind of afraid to drive my front tire over it not sure how far it will sink

Anyhow, got out to the front pile and decided I'd go ahead and uncover the meter cover. Stabbed a few times with the shovel and couldn't find it, went inaide and grabbed a metal clothes hanger and found it right away. Dumbass when he put thw barrel amd cover back in just dropped it in and covered it up. 8" below grade :throw:

Have to call the water dept. M9nday and see if they have some sort of extension topper for it. The meter is an RF meter as thwy got the last reading no problem, but I'm sure the cover needs to be immediatelt accessible.

I just don't want an 8" deep hole just off the sidewalk.

As of today I will have been out of work for almost 3 weeks because of this eye. What in the hell. 14 days of meds, nothing. I'm gonna have to go on desk duty. Strangle me.

    Ugh....

Freaking neighbor just knocked on front door. Went out side door and met her in the driveway. She has open sores all over her chin, in her 40's and looks like in her 60's. Asked if I could help her, her phone won't work and says no sim card. Wanted to use my phone to call someone to come over and stay with her, someone took her car and she was freaking out. Lied and said I had just broken my phone and it didn't work. She then asked if I was going anywhere later and I said I did not plan on it, she asked if there was anyway I could giver her a ride 3 blocks away. Red flag! She has 2 feet and is able to walk. 3 blocks is like 15 minutes at best. Said she needed to get to her mom's house so she could use a phone to call the cops to get her car back.

Trying to figure out how to decline the request and say I'll have to clean out my entire truck. She said that's ok, it doesn't have to be right now, maybe an hour, hour and a half. Said I would try, and she said just knock on my door when ready.

Came back inside and freaking out. Do I call the cops for a wellness check knowing she'll know I called them? Will she be pissed about it and retaliate? Finally decide to call local PD, just as I am about to dial I see her on security cam walking across her yard. Look out window and she took off walking, decided to leave well enough alone for right now. I don't want to create a situation and I definitely don't want to be the one who's door gets knocked on everytime she starts tweaking or whatever because I helped out once.

Why me? Now I'm going to be paranoid leaving my house unattended even with cameras. All valuables are in safes, but I still have pawnable chit. This effing sucks!!!

My buddy works for IDOT. Gets 10 weeks of paid paternal leave. Tax dollars hard at work. I get zero paid time off. Must be nice working for the state or Fed. Youre basically royalty. Oh yea, the kicker is it used to be 16 and they were all fuming when it got dropped to 10

Yeah most of these government employees make less than their counterparts in the business world so the government actually follows the fmla laws and gives them time off. I have no problem with someone being at home with a newborn.

She will probably go down to Target or Home Depot, jack a vacuum cleaner or two, then pawn them for some crack money. If she returns with a couple appliances you know what you got.

Wherever she went she found her car. I'm absolutely convinced the spoon and syringe I found in the alley a year and a half ago was hers.

Confirmed she's who I had thought she was but wasn't sure. When I bought the place 11yrs ago the owner of the house was dating a guy I knew. They were constantly fighting and breaking up. About 1 1/2 years later they got married and she moved in with him and rented the house out for about 7 years. He moved out a couple years ago and her and her boyfriend/husband moved in. I thought she was the owner, but her appearance had changed so much I wasn't sure. She said her name today and confirmed it was her.

What a chit show this is starting to be.

Last night I get to the hotel room, I am on the phone with my wife when the door to my room opens. I asked the guy WTF are you doing? Evidently I looked pissed because the guy was like don't shoot me, the front desk put me in this room. I calmed down and offered him and his friend a beer. Same time a bride is walking down the hall and asked one of the guys if they had an extra beer for her. Her offered her one of mine that was fine. She ended up inviting the 3 of us to her reception at a bar said get a wrist band for free drinks. Went down to the front desk got it straightened out and went to the bar and got trashed with my new friends, it was a good time.
