Had a road rager on the way home. I was in the left lane 3rd in line behind a camero going 75. Two semis in the right lane, goes on for eternity. We get by one semi and the front semi pulls into an exit lane, I wait the cars in front of me did not go so I moved to the right hit resume on the cruise back up to 82. Could not believe my luck. I have a long gap in front of me smooth sailing I scan my mirrors and mister camero comes barreling up and see the semi coming back into the right lane out of the exit lane behind me. Mr camero gets past me and cuts in front of me and I knew what he was going to do, I was half in the left lane before he hit his breaks well clear of him, not sure how he did not get smashed by the semi but mr camero backed off and he must of had to slow down to get the **** out of his pants.

I have seen so many drivers that drive like idiots I recognize the dumbfuckery before it happens. Not like I was on the guys back bumper I was 2 cars back, all I did was go around and accelerate I stayed in the clear right lane not like I cut in front of him.

I'd say that belongs in BTIL.
Long as you find the oil cap, anyway

Local hardware store will have one, if not I will prepay and have the local proprietor order one for me, shop locally. He will not take a debit card will enjoy writing a check for $3.75 just for the look on his face.

Just make sure your hardware store carries '710' caps...

Things changed today, mom went to a foot specialist and both lower leg bones are broke and surgery first thing Friday morning. Plate and screws needed. How the eff ER Dr's miss so many things is beyond me, I mean, it is their job and all.

At 70 years old plates and screws are never a good thing, just hope she is one of the ones they work out for.

Fwiw - with 5 kids we saw a few broken bones and have had somewhat situations. Swelling sometimes needs to subside before setting, my back (vert) obscured by other bones, arthritis, angles of xrays...

Hope things work out well and she receives good care.

How come greenies and politicians when they preach about electric cars about how we should all drive them. I just want to raise my hand and ask, how the hell are we going to charge all these electric cars?

Actually the cap that came out is the little one on the side of the motor, kinda weird because the 710 cap is up top.

I get it, but what is creating the electricity for the bigger power grid?

The power grid is inefficient - a lot of waste in transport. Yet has been the practice for 100ish years to amortize costs so they are palatable for consumers.

Imho-Fuel cells where clean(er) fuel is available, like most metros, could be an alternative... With 'waste' products of hot water (you have a hot water tank likely already) and CO2 (I'd advocate for centralized scrubbers if inexpensive options couldn't be mass produced for a home fuel cell unit).

There are niches for other close to point of use tech (solar, wind, microhydro, geo)

What they'll want to do is force mass transit. You know gobble up private property ,not worry about all those rare bugs birds reptilian and furries, to throw money at bullet trans. That are suppose to run safely through tornado , quake, blizzard, hurricane states... I'd like to know the type of weather these European countries with bullet trains have.

Mass transit also inefficient. All systems are subsidized by tax payers and generally operate at a loss.

Today's rant holidays... Now hear me out.

I get it, people need to celebrate for various reasons, many based in religious or political traditions...

But, international business could be so much more productive if we could align the important stuff... Sorry presidents day...

Found the newer kindle that wouldn't charge. Plugged it in and so far up to 38%. Hoping to get it to at least 70 % before inserting a sd card and grabbing all the pics.Though will need to get instructions from daughter on how to do that. Wish I dared to use as a trade in but God knows what they could get off it if I did.
This old kindle is getting real ,real old with all the re-writes....I can't keep.up with them all. What a bleeping waste of time! Again NO it won't allow me to turn off auto correct. Why ? I have no idea.

    I got one for ya.

School in the area has been having a problem with kids bringing vape pens to class.

Seems the superintendent of schools thought it would be a good idea to segregate the suspected students by gender, have the students strip down to their under wear and then they were "visually" searched by a faculty member of the same sex. The clothes were patted down as well.

A couple female students said they were not wearing under wear. They were told to strip down to their leggings and then patted down by the female superintendent of schools.

    Parents were NOT notified.

No charges will be brought as these actions did not meet WI definition of "strip search".

I know a certain superintendent of schools would have a bashed up face it that were done to my kid!
