It eats Cherokees because it has almost 2x the displacement and a solid front axle and the np205.

I am talking about the amount of power at the wheels comparatively all the way around- there is no way a standard STOCK t-case on a newer IFS truck (TRXs and Raptors aside) puts out the same power ratio to the front wheels vs. back wheels as a stock drivetrain Cherokee or even old sold axle K5 blazer does.

Also, I am not saying a newer CV joint would break in mud or snow, I am saying the newer IFS are designed to not put enough power to the fronts so as not to break them. That, coupled with a much longer wheel base, is what creates the pushing/squirrely effect in a IFS truck that is much less common in solid axles, or at least solid axle Jeeps.

I have also seen many instances of IFS just not having enough power at the front wheels (or even at the back in a couple of newer FJs with IFS) that Cherokees, TJs, and K5s had zero problems with.

My rant- they are no longer producing your Jeep Eating K10 (and K5s). Think we could both agree on that!

I'm saying that the above bolded is wrong. If not, tell me how the newer transfer cases are capable of this. I believe that they are either chain driven or gear driven .... not fluid driven.

To my knowledge transfer cases are not capable of torque multiplication or managing power delivered to the differentials. All they do is supply power to where they are told to supply it. Only the automatic transmissions are capable of torque multiplication or power management.

Apology accepted. Also, you are to be commended on your graciousness in defeat! :tu:

Well THAT was fun (not). 3" of snow, under an 1" of ice, covered by 4 more inches of snow... ugh.
The snowblower took care of the top layer okay, but could not go any farther. Guess I'll go get some ice melter and let it work for a day, then try again - or - just wait for mother nature to clear it.
But... I HATE a messy driveway!!! I want to be able to see blacktop.

OMG! Just shoot me now...Hubby left at 8:30 and I followed him down the drive shoveling I made it back here after he'd gotten home at 1:30. 11" and another 2 as shoveled and still snowing. Got stuck in hip high snow over at canvas barn shoveling roof. That was a tad scary because I seriously couldn't get out and it felt like my leg was encased in concrete the more I struggled. As my gloves got soaked.
Man Oh man I thought I was mad at plow guy but the mail carrier pulled up as I was raging and shoveling out mail box. I wasn't the only one that LITERALLY had 2ft of wet snow 10 feet away from my mail box. The carrier had 2 bins of undeliverable mail from 2 rd s. She said I was the only one shoveled out. And at that I was only half way through it. Apparently he did this to every mail box. It's a . First so either new guy or someone was smoking something last night...
I am so sore my sore hurts.

I have a rep a relatively new rep who is set up more as a distributor not ideal. This company is not good at paying their bills, we had an order in house ready to ship but the rep was past due, not like 15-20 days the invoices were 90 days old. One of the owners called me when they learned they were past due with an attitude, I was kind and explained the situation and why it was unacceptable. They had 2 orders in house and I signed off on beginning production based on the agreement that they would not go past 45 days. Well guess what they were again at 90 days and production was stopped, their sales guy found out and was pissed, the owner called and left a bitter email. You owe me money for over 90 days past due so 120 days and you get pissed at me because I refuse to offer you more credit to screw me. I am going to call the owner back at 3 or 3:30 keep the attitude up and I will fire you in a second. Please buy from my competition if you are going to pay like that.

I replied to an email best I do not call because the call would not last long. I am loyal, appreciative, and nice until it is time not to be, that line in this case is a lot closer than normal. If I fire the rep I have to cover the territory, I really do not want to spend the weeks traveling the left coast.

Most of our customers are net 30 days...some may be a bit further. Goes in our master agreements. Then we start the interest meter running...if we need to finance your debt, I assure you won't like our rates...

OK here is my Snow rant. I live in a cul-de-sac which contains 5 houses. I have lived here for 24 years and am the last original home owner in the cul-de-sac. All the other residents have lived here for ~10 to 14 years and most are crazy liberals with 5+ kids in the house, mostly boys from 14 to 23 years old. If any of these houses have an electrical, plumbing, construction help or need tools they come to me and I gladly help them out. For the last 10 years when we have a heavy snow fall I have broken out the big snow blower and taken care of everyone's sidewalks and drives as well as the cul-de-sac itself. I have never received a single thank you from any of those homes but I do it to be nice and I get to play with my machinery. Last year I was out snow blowing and got a call to run and help a family member... The house I did not get to complete actually had the balls to complain to me for not finishing their driveway and they had to finish it.

So here is my Rant - I had shoulder replacement surgery in November and am now just past the point of holding a coffee cup in the affected arm.... All of these people know I had surgery and am limited at the moment... We have had 7 significant snowfalls and not one of the houses even offered to help me out, one even called the city on me because I did not clear my side walk fast enough for them and it impeded them taking their 3 year old on a walk.. I am friends with most of the cops in town and they told me who called as it is public record. I was out shoveling 11" of snow one handed, basically plowing it with my good arm and body weight and then using my foot lift the shovel to chuck it on the lawn since I can't use my right arm. They were all out shoveling as well. one by one they all finished and went inside their house leaving me to finish my property. Well that was the last straw.. I am not lending a hand, any tools, advice, knowledge and will never snow blowing anything but my property again. These ungrateful one way check valve MF's are on their own and I cannot wait to retire am move away from these liberal brain dead idiots. Rant Complete

Well when they come to you for help you need to smile and say...remember this past winter? Then walk away or close the door.

In a garbage can now online ordering has many more options than my original purchase, and I loved that pillow it really helped my neck. Not litigious I can afford to pay for a new one.

not knowing how long you had it, that's up to you. I know their customer service is good and I would not be surprised if an email would have been all it took.

And I get it, pillow choices are highly individualized. I wasn't inferring their quality sucked, I just found them extremely uncomfortable. Their towels are really nice and their sheets are solid.

Maybe 15 yrs ago we had two back to back snow storms of 15 to 20 inches each. My driveway was about 40 yds long and my neighbors the same. I had to get to work and I knew his wife had health problems. I worked all night as the second storm pounded us and cleared my driveway and his with a frigging snow shovel. I'd sleep between shoveling like a mad man. The guy never even said thank you. Lol!
