I just had an amazing encounter with a Amazon driver .. I am head of security for a chemical plant, a Captain with an armed security company(10 yrs now) contracted out to the chemical company , been here now since 2013 .. I deal with employee's, truckers, visitors and various contractors, delivery drivers and DHS and the DEA due to the acids and various WMD type of chemicals here at the plant, plus my officers patrol the place ..... A black female Amazon driver came up to the gate after hours in a Prime box van with a single package...... Asked if this is (company name), I said yes it is, I directed her to the entrance/door where ALL packages from Fedex, UPS, Amazon are delivered .. I watched as she drove past the location, backed up, drove in circles, went the wrong way, came back, went to another location came back, drove in circles again .. WTF ?? ... I jumped in the squad and drove down, she was now at the wrong building ..... I pointed across the road and told her again to deliver it THERE, pointing to the right location, I said follow me and I'll show you.... we got 10 yds from the door/location, and I waited and waited and waited a full 15 minutes for her to come out of the van and set the package down in front of the door, she said they have rules about going up stairs, I said there are only 7 stairs to the door ..... she said I cant deliver it 'cause it is out of her "range", range of WHAT ?? ... out of her range? ... I said your right here, 10 yds from the door, if you wont deliver it, I'll take it and set it where it needs to go, she said she cant do that .. WTF ?? ... its out of her "Range" ... after 20 minutes of this BS, I walked to the vans sliding door, she slammed it in my face, cracked a window and said "your scaring me" ... that was it !! I told her to leave the property and have another driver who knows what they are doing bring it back tomorrow... I just got off the phone with a supervisor of theirs, they got an ear full .... I have never seen a person this damn ignorant who refused to do something so simple ... 10 friggin yds from the delivery door and its out of her phone gps "range" ?? !! ...... thank goodness I never order anything from Amazon, now I never will ... if you wonder why your packaged never showed up from them, it is because of stupid people like her ... ...sheesh ....
saw that, sounds like the dirtbag was in a restricted area, cops responded, and he lit them up. He's a former student that graduated almost 10 years ago. He looks like a typical loser ANTIFA-type; but nothing about his recent personal life is being reported. Reports are that "multiple" guns were recovered, seems like a planned ambush. You have a front wheel drive car with a valance that acts like a scoop and turned into a 14" plow mound onto an unplowed side street then stopped. WTF did you think was going to happen?!? My goodness the idiots I seen on the road tonight. All of the ones that were stuck were front wheel drive cars turning onto side streets, or ones coming off a side street trying to get onto a main roadway. The other ones have 7" of snow on the hood, roof and trunk at dusk without any lighting on whatsoever. I will not stop to help fools, and I award you NO points.
Exactly, momentum is everything, don't stop and work the throttle and wheel. I used to love driving front wheel drives in the snow, especially when they had the hand e-brake to slide aroumd corners like a rear wheel drive but the steerability like a 4wd
Also need to add, these were not elderly people, they stay home, these were 20-30 year olds. Cracks me up when I get to watch them from a stop light, they'll sit there in place, spinning their wheels forward and reverse until they're in a wheel formed pit and they have heated the snow enough to turn it into ice
Caught hell from the wife for teaching my kids how to do that when I was driving a saturn. Basic driver training. Kids called it the super saturn after they experienced it.
