I thought the reports were claiming the Pats deflated their own balls to make it easier for Brady to grip the ball and throw it.

I doubt that is the case, but that is what they are crying over.

I find this funny... Patriots fans are outraged that people are writing and talking about something the NFL has admitted it is investigating. Some of the stuff you read on social media is absolutely incredible haha.

wouldn't a deflated ball be more difficult to throw..?

the only reason the league is investigating is because there was a claim...false as it may be it's still a claim...

A claim by NFL refs that they removed several game balls from the Patriots sidelines...

Again it isn't the reason the Colts lost. They stunk. I haven't seen one report blaming an deflated football as the reason the Colts offense couldn't muster up any points.

They would be just slightly deflated to allow for better grip especially in wet conditions

Tony when this comes out as being a joke are you going to make an apology thread? How the hell can the coach cheat here...did he start placing the ball down before every play all of a sudden???

Just like when the kickers used to microwave their balls before the games.

what I was thinking just like a tire a ball will lose pressure in cold temps... most of the sports talk radio shows are saying this whole thing is much ado about nothing..

The refs inspect every ball before the game, including testing the pressure. They also handle the ball before every snap. If a ball is thrown out of circulation, it must be reported to the Commissioner. I would like to see the yearly stats for balls being taken out of circulation and reported to the Commissioner.

The Pats would have won with Nerf balls, LOL BTW it was more the WR, TE and RB not getting separation than Andrew Luck sucking.

While I do think the claims are far fetched and probably (maybe?) not true, if there is truth to it, I think it is a pretty big deal. The outcome of the game has nothing to do with it. Obviously they would've thumped them with 20 psi balls. But.... if true there would've obviously been intent and a reason to do so before the game started. Much like pine tar on a bat or vaseline in a pitchers glove etc..... Trying to gain an edge without knowing the outcome. Again, I think its a big fat non story and find it hard to believe that could or would happen.

Does it really matter since the winners are predetermined anyway. Lol
