Aaron Rodgers admitted he liked the ball to have more than the limit of air pressure in the balls he plays with. And no I did not see 23 pages about how he cheated.
Well, I think it has more to do with the way the Patriots go about their business than anything else. Let's be honest, they're not at all likable unless you are a fan of them. They are cocky, arrogant, and have an above the law type attitude that is irritating to many people. They have proven that under Belichick they will bend or break rules on a consistent basis. Stealing signals, videotaping practices, illegal formations, deflating balls and who knows what else. If Brady had said he know about the balls being deflated back when it first came up, I don't think this would have been much of a story, but he didn't. That makes it much worse in my opinion.
There are plenty of teams that break rules but people say the Patriots are nothing but cheaters. The owner of the Jets blatantly tampered on video on Revis and he got a fine which to him would be like us going out for lunch. Jones tampered with Peterson and didnt even get a slap on the wrist. Brad Johnson admited he paid to have the footballs exactly the way he wanted them for the Super Bowl. Rodgers admitted having more air in balls. Jerry Rice admitted using stick um on his gloves when it was illegal. I could go on and on but for the ones that hate the Patriots the most it wont matter.
I don't care who it is and what team they are from, if they are caught cheating, they should be punished. The difference is, the Patriots got caught again. I don't remember those others getting caught. Doesn't make it right, but it's pretty hard to punish them after the fact. If it's a coach or an owner, they need to be punished in ways other than fines because, like you said it's barely a dent in their spending cash. The teams need to have draft picks taken away, maybe even time at training camp limited. Things that affect the competitiveness of those teams. If it's a player, then they need to lose playing time. The punishments have to be a deterrent. Fining them obviously isn't enough to keep them from cheating.
Ray Rice originally gets 2 games for beating his girl friends *** and Brady 4 games for letting out some air from a football. LMAO only the Patriots haters can possibly justify this or say it isn't enough.
Pats also lose 1st rounder next year, 4th rounder in 2017 and a million dollar fine. I'm no Patroit fan but seems like a lot to me. I understand suspending Brady because of his direct involvement but the 1st rounder seems excessive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think it's kinda like the lack of institutional control deal. If I remember correctly, it was a similar deal on bounty gate.
forget the fines, lose of draft picks, and suspensions... they won the championship game, they cheeted in the championship game.. take that win away... they don't go to the Super Bowl... so they should lose the Super Bowl by forfeit and give it to the other team...
I didn't even have too look up at where you are from asking for a Seahawks super bowl win but did anyway. LMAO
Tony you should also have more hate for the Bills organization for not being able to get you a QB since Jim Kelly than for the Patriots whopping their @$$
Yeah... it really has less to do with the outcomes of the games and more to do with the intent. They could have played with nerf balls and still won the AFC Championship game (or any other games). The fact is they willingly and knowingly tried to gain an advantage by cheating. Whether that mattered or not is irrelevant.
If we sat here and listed some of the greatest players in all major sports that have tried to get an advantage in sports the list would be CRAZY long. Whether it is messing with air pressure in a football or pine tar on a bat, scuffing a ball, PED's, uppers, stick um on gloves, vaseline on arms, corked bats...and on and on and on. I am not saying it is right and he shouldn't get punished but anyone who wants to throw stones and think there teams haven't broke some rule are full of BS. The rules say if you tamper with a ball it is a $25,000 fine. But Goddell can change it to 4 game suspension, million dollar fine and loss of draft picks because he can say hurts the "integrity of the game" isn't every time you break a rule bad for the game? Then why do they make rules if Goddell can pick and choose which ones he sticks with. Also where is Goddell's suspension for all the BS he has done and hurt the "integrity of the game" in the last couple of years?
