Well I feel stupid....Mitch and I are friends on facebook and literally now know why his harvest photos here seem familiar. I messaged him.
Okay fellows. Everyone’s mailing address and shirt size has now been sent to Brad. I was originally planning on making another trip to Arkansas this past week but the icy roads kept me at home, so I was going to go this coming week but now they’re calling for a huge winter storm starting tomorrow night. The main highways here are clear but the back roads still have a layer of compacted sleet with a layer of compacted snow over that. Now they’re calling for between 5 and 10 inches of snow and actual low temps at or below zero, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get another hunting trip in this season or not. If I don’t it’s not a big deal. I had a great season. The weather we’re having here may not seem so bad to you northern folks, but here people don’t know how to handle it and it’s very dangerous on those hilly, curvy back roads going through the Ozarks. Slide off the road into one of the huge steep-walled valleys and you’re in a world of trouble.

We had -9 this morning and the low tonight is -17 real temp. That is insanely cold for here. We have at least a foot of snow and wind. We were just starting to have a great comeback of pheasants and quail and I would guess this will wipe most of them out again. The only good thing about it is that the shed hunters have largely been non-existent this year so far. Maybe I will actually be able to pick up a few sheds on my properties before the poachers get there. We have a local guy paying $12 per pound and now the last few years the damn meth-heads are actually out scouring everything for sheds to sell. Apparently, when you never have to eat or sleep you can cover a lot of ground.
Dang fletch I never knew meth heads were that ambitious. Getting bored with this deep freeze, thought it would be a good time to build ar 15. Found out fast that prices on them really shot up and mostly (out of stock) on most parts. Fish aren't biting either lol.
Holy smokes the winning package is no joke! I've wanted this sweatshirt for a long time! Wore it into the office today...casual Tuesday decision LOL! Kudos to @Justin and the rest of the crew for hooking us up! Here's to hopefully more to come next go around!
