Hey everyone! Team Haastyle (Zach) checking in. Grew up in SE Wisconsin my whole life, and hunt much of the midwest year after year. Always good for a doe slam. Drew my coveted Iowa tag this year so hoping for some success, but going down with some high standards. Wisconsin I am after a 7.5 yr old 170"+ monarch that has his picture posted next to Challenge in the dictionary I'm pretty sure. Last year wasn't able to enter a buck into the contest as my main buck ended up getting the raw end of my .7mm instead. Don't know many of you, but have definitely talked in the past with Ty. Looking forward to a solid year, and getting to know all of you!
One of my main hitlisters from last year.... We got his right shed and it scored 76 and change. We roughed him around 170 last year, but with him being 7.5 this year who knows what God has in store for his rack. Hoping for growth
Zach what up bud!!! Don't let Zach fool you all, he is a big buck killer...with a gun. LOL I kid I kid. Zach is an awesome guy folks, and I would bet will have his chances at some SOLID bucks!!
So we're only waiting on @ash d and @farmer rick to check in. I'm going to go ahead and start the nominations for team Captain. I'm nominating Ty.
I’ll nominate myself, may have some questions along the way and a day or two at a time I might not be on because of single dad duties but I won’t disappear. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Gets my vote. Duties are pretty light and we'll help along the way, but this is quite an active group and experienced so shouldn't be too difficult.
Hahahaha.... definitely have had to settle some scores with fire power through the years lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Farmer Rick from Wis. checking in. I was shocked you guys hit page 3 already. Great to be on such an active team! I'm kinda a retired dairy farmer, still have my farm, one boy cash farms the land and I get to play around on it. 1 wife for almost 43 years 5 kids 10 grand kids. My farm is full of deer so always able to put a couple does down every year. but putting a tag on a big buck is always a challenge. I'll be hunting most evenings till middle of Oct. then mornings and evening thru the rut. Nice to be retired. Very impressed with some of the bucks and trail cam pics. from the team. Good luck to everyone this year!
Man, I don’t think I’ve ever been on a team where 99% of everyone has checked in on the first evening of teams being drawn. I’m pretty positive I’ve been on a team with ash before so I’m certain that he’ll check in, I’ll give it a day or so until I message him if he’s not checked in. Thanks Ty for setting up the team thread, and thanks Chief for rigging the “random” draw! Has anyone thought about team names at all? I tried as I was wide awake last night thinking about cold crisp mornings. The 12 Pack Chief’s Minions 12 Spot The Fan Favorites Anti Boonerville as suggested by Ty Keep on adding to it and we can vote in a few days. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Team is kicking things off on a good note for sure. He did get one of the team messages I sent out so we may want to use the email contact most can locate on a member's page, which speaking of which while I have to split it into two groups of 5 due to message limits, I typically try to do update messages to the group throughout the competition. Helps update folks, get folks more involved and sometimes encourages better team thread check ins.
Here is one of my main deer in Wisconsin this year. I’m on the fence of letting him walk though. Trying to get to booner status like Ty Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
