Your good. My boys have been teasing me about the size. It’s all in fun. I bragged to them that nobody would shoot one smaller.

    Congrats @Oldcarp !!

I kinda have a regret to update everyone. Saturday morning slipped out to my favorite stand at my place and right at first like my mega doe I call silverback came in with an offspring of hers. Could have shot her twenty five times but was buck only mindset given the time of the year and that property can explode with bucks.

I completely spaced it that it is this week that the neighbor land owner about 70 yards to the north will be moving dirt and preparing a massive build site for more storage units…I should have shot that doe as this no doubt could blow the property up for a bit.

Trying to find out timing of the crews work and might hunt the far other end of property on food and Hope deer don’t push too far away - being an urban like type property helps some hopefully

After what I saw at my now ex-son in laws place last year I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

The owner cut down half the trees and was running a skid steer clearing brush and the deer still came out of the woodwork when they shut the machinery down.

I had a fun trip to Ontario on Lake of the Woods. Lots of ducks and geese and the walleye fishing was outstanding. We shot limits of ducks and plenty of geese. Only one musky was boated and they were so slow that we gave up on them and just chased walleye. I would literally have to take a break from reeling in walleyes because my arms would get tired. In some places it was a fish every single cast and we all three would have fish on at the same time on multiple occasions. Biggest ones were pushing 27 inches and lots and lots of 17 to 20 inch fish. Most days we would see only one other boat on the lake and never heard another shot fired. It was really weird to be up there with almost zero pressure thanks to the pandemic. Crossing the boarder was a pain and we were "randomly" selected to test again which is a huge joke. They give you a kit and you have to set up a zoom conference call so a nurse can watch your every move from opening the kit to giving yourself the test and sealing up the vial. Then the test must be dropped in limited testing location boxes. Because of poor cell reception and waiting for a call, it took nearly an hour and a half to complete. It took the entire week to hear back on my negative result. Most guys are leaving before the test results come back to avoid the risk of quarantine. Now I can focus on putting some points up on the board for the good guys! Hunt safe and good luck to all of you.

I had a great first sit here in Mark Twain National Forest this evening. I ended up seeing two bucks and a bunch of does. I could have killed a doe but there's no way I'm going to shoot a doe here now.

I had a really big 10 point cross the finger 50 yards farther down than I was sitting. I saw some more does and then just before time to get down I had another buck travel almost the same path, but it was too dim to make out how big he was.

It was a fun time, and something tells me my chances are better than average this time.

Well fellas an insane hunt tonight which did end in some points for us. This year as you all know has just been **** when anything hunting related for me.

Tonight at one property I saw over nine bucks, and one was the #1 (probably 150 inch class) on this property.

the final buck to come out was unfortunately, wait that sounds bad - very fortunately but just wasn’t one of the top two on this property. He was one of three different four year old or older basic eight frames that were just bullies and couldn’t be passed up. Got it on film but will also take pictures tomorrow.

I hold no shame in saying after watching him fall seventy yards away in the beans that stand saw tears.

Trespassing, cameras stolen, more trespassing, another camera stolen, one landowner issues, pops’ new land flooding….the construction trespassing and issues….

tonight though was different, tonight was one giant grace filled exhale

Huge congratulations Ty! After all you've been through you certainly deserve him and I'm really happy for you.

Great job getting it on film and like Ash said, it was great watching him fall over in the field.

    Congratulations again!

Congrats guys!!!! Adding points while I am struggling to get a shot on one. However, I was in Kansas last week which out of 5 days hunting, 3 of those we had over 40mph wind which made very difficult hunting when there is limited area to get into to find deer out of the wind gusts. With that said I saw my main shooter on the first morning (190"+ 12 point) but was too dark to shoot. He walked past at 50yds in a cut soybean field which would have been mint, but luck wasn't on my side that morning. Luck further went down the tube on the last half hour of my last sit where I heard some sparring in the river bottom. Hearing that I took out my grunt tube and made some light grunts. Shortly thereafter I saw tines in the brush. About a 165-175 12 point staring in my direction. After some time I was able to stop him at 40 yards and let an arrow fly. Everything looked true and ready to take the air away, but mere feet from him I hit a sapling and deflected the arrow down below him. Truly heartbreaking watching him run off initially, but humble that God even gave me that opportunity on such an impressive animal. First booner missed..... check lol
