I sure hope he did. I just entered it on the scorecard earlier.

I don’t recall seeing him post it in the team thread but I saw it in the LFTS thread.

I agree with this and if it’s correct would this not be the correct way to score it?

Also, I suppose if someone wants to insist that the point I listed as G1 isn't a G1 it would simply be Abnormal 3 with no change to the gross score.

Heck yea guys way to get some points in the board and meat in the freezer!

That buck is definitely a tricky one to score, but I would have to imagine that just about any way that it’s done there won’t be much more then 2-3” difference if that.

Just to fill you guys in on what I’ve been doing. I haven’t hunted since the evening that I shot my buck on the 5th. I’ve been catching up on a lot of stuff at home and spending a lot of time with my boys.

I leave on Sunday morning to head to Ohio for a week of nothing but hunting with 3 buddies and my dad. Can’t wait, I need a break! When I get back I will also start hitting it very hard through the opening day of gun season.

Once hun season starts here in Michigan I usually take at least one maybe 2 weeks off and stay away from my main farms. It has really seemed to help the last few years and deer have absolutely flooded into them with all of the surrounding pressure.

She’s about to get real good, good luck as everyone is gearing up to hit the woods hard!

Been struggling to put a pin on this guys movement pattern. I have his bedding area pegged. Hoping when crops come off he pushes into more of my oak flats and plots. IMG_3376.JPG IMG_3377.JPG

My interest in it has nothing to do with trying to bump the score up any higher. I'd be saying the same thing if it would lower the score.

I'm just trying to make sure it's scored correctly so no one complains about it once it's posted, especially since it's my team score it’s going to.

@Team Haastyle, just noticed on your doe you’re using ramcat. Which one are you using? I’ve been using the hydroshock for about 8 years now and love them but hate the blades

I'm going to use this as a guide, At least I'll have two ways of measuring the deer, no one can complain about that.

So the ladder stand I shot the doe from I moved this morning at 1130. Hopefully the rain will wash any scent I left around. I had to do a lot of trimming. I hate doing it during the season but I’ve seen buck moving in this area the last 2 times I hunted it so I hope it puts me in a better position. I probably won’t go back for a few day. Congrats on the doe Team Haastle and great pic too.

I've really been torn the past 24 hours. My plan all along has been to head to Kentucky tomorrow, get there mid-day and get on stand to bow hunt the front coming in that's coinciding with the new moon on Friday. Also, as I said before Kentucky has a 2 day muzzleloader season Saturday and Sunday. I really want to be there for that and this year I'm going to have both my muzzleloader and my bow in the tree. Plus, I'd already told my brother I'd be there.

However, yesterday I got a call from my son in law Josh who's entire hunting area has been destroyed by the land owner. He went scouting on local public land and found a spot riddled with good buck sign. You know: Scrapes and cedar trees the size of your thigh raked up almost chest high.

It's over a mile hike in and he's never seen another hunter that far in. He wanted me to come up and hunt it with him. I have to say that I am still tempted. The idea of chasing good bucks on public land is appealing, but then I know without a doubt that I'll bring deer home from Kentucky.

Still, I'd already told my brother I'd be there to hunt with him so tomorrow I'll be Kentucky bound.
