It's a cool deer. Glad you didn't let a silly contest mess up your decision to enjoy harvesting a really neat trophy.

Congrates. I am off Monday for the holiday so I plan on hunting in the moring and again in the afternoon. Temps are forecasted to be 71 for a high.

Fighting morning urge to hunt this early, I rarely do especially at the property I am heading to tomorrow, with food all over and west winds I cannot get to a stand without bumping deer i have zero doubt.

So I'll be drywalling a garage wall all morning and into lunch...but it is KILL tomorrow night as the corn is still up and a giant 8 has been seen entering corn right by the stand twice in the last week by the farmer driving around about 100 yards away from him.

    Good luck!

My farm with good bedding right next to fields it's tough to get between fields and bedding on morning hunts also.

Wis. has youth hunt this weekend, twin grandsons will try and help with my doe problem.

Found a spot with good rubs and scrapes with a big track in them. I'll be hunting that area.

Farmer says corn isn't getting picked today, so pumped for tonight. I am hobbled as I dropped a 2 inch well pump on my foot last night...don't believe broke but not good. Guess the good thing is it will force me to slow down on entrance and climb

I hope you’re okay and it’s not broken Ty.

In December 2017 I broke the fifth metatarsal in my left foot. It was a complete spiral fracture and I managed to do it putting my underwear on.

Not sure if you remember that. I posted it on the forums.

@S.McArthur - Did you figure out how to get an inside spread on that buck? I've been curious about that.

Glad you had a good sit.

So how big do you think the young one you passed on was?

Getting my coffee in. I’m hunting where I had the encounter with the young buck last week. Nice to be hunting 2 minutes from the house. Good luck team.

Jeez, don’t know what I was thinking. I hadn’t even had a beer when I posted that.
Sorry to both of you. Guess I had a senior moment.

I edited it so the right teammate is tagged.

Last light and forgot camera so couldn't re-watch. He made me tighten the bow string for a moment when I first saw him...his body though then told me the story of a 2.5 - I'd say he was definitely over that 100 inches of antler mark, by how much who knows.

Don't like the no wind aspect but love it! Keep us posted and updated once an arrow launches!
