I was tucked in with an old hay bailer and elevator, makes a good natural blind. Works pretty good until you want to pop your head over the top to take a good peek.

Update: Button buck came and walked around, decided to pack out early and hit the field edge for dinner. Didn’t see anything in field so I crossed to get on the good wind side…damn momma and baby standing there. I back tracked and walked the other field edge and glasses the field, damn if a lone doe walked behind my truck about 100yards away.
I keep saying “at least I saw something”, but this trash luck has got to break at some point.
Oh well, it’s supposed to rain all week, I may get out in the evening if it’s not crazy rain.

Farmer Rick was your doe a scoreable deer or were you just freezer filling? I’m a dumbass I didn’t check the scorecard thread first.

He nudged us into first. Granted Team 8 still has a buck down claimed by a teammate that now has went MIA for month or so...which is why another 100 one way or another is needed.

I hunted last night with my ML at my property and had a spike come out and does. If we need points and he walks by with a bow in my hands I'll gladly nab a fergie buck - he'll taste mighty good too LOL

My go to spots for deer should be well rested, though I’m losing the 17th and 18th for travel. I’ve been going through a lot of meat awfully quick recently. Frying up my gun buck heart for breakfast now. image.jpg

Good grief, I'm glad I slept on my first world problems related to deer.
I see we are at the top but close to being toppled, I don't want to be the reason we fail, so I'll suck it up and give it all I have until Jan 5. I know there is a big fat lone doe I've been eyeing, just having got a chance at her. I have not seen a buck I want to shoot, so it may have to be two doe. If I see the wider 8 point, I'll take him, had he made it 15 more yards a couple weeks ago I was going to take him, no reason to change that.

Congrats on a fine doe Rick and way to put us back in the lead!

Our gun seasons are open now and I will be back out for the late split to fill a couple of doe tags.

Keep up the good work guys...

Man this race to the finish is tight. Few more weeks until I will get into my blind for some doe killing action.

You got a spot lined up somewhere out of state? Since those Wisconsin does are so elusive LOL

Well the MIA member with a buck is back on team 8, he will be posting soon. He estimated when he shot the deer it is around 110, so probably gonna be behind by more than 50.

All of us that got deer to get if able let’s make this happen!! Till the last day!!

This was my afternoon. My oldest son got a late season cow tag. He shot the elk around 1:00ish. It wasn’t a bad pack out except for the scrub oak. I think it only took us around 3 hours to quarter her up and pack her out. The two on the right standing up are my boys and the one the left is my son in law. I was taking the picture.

Went out as planned & saw a squirrel & a bunny. The bunny was very large & looked scary mean.
My deer cameras have been silent all day
