I actually feel kind of bad about this now.

I swear guys, this team list was the first one generated and it’s exactly the way it came out.

If I paid closer attention to who the buck slayers are from year to year I might have noticed that this team is strong, but I’m afraid I don’t remember those things.

I was on a team with Fletch one year and he didn’t kill a buck that year.

I know most of the other screen names but I couldn’t tell you if any of you have consistently killed bucks.

I did my best and I did it honestly but something tells me I haven’t heard the last of this.

We know man, shoot I've been on fletch's team before as well when he ate tag soup, I ate tag soup in 2017 and don't kill giants consistently...same for a few of the others. Just a very consistent team is all....and now we've officially jinxed us all though :)

Prepare for our worst seasons in a long time now....

I was buckless last year, I slung an arrow over the back of a monster..dumb mistake and only hunted that buck all season. My Illinois trips I could have shot plenty of 100-120” deer, but I didn’t want to use my tag on something I can kill at home. On the other hand, I did a lot of walking/scouting on that public ground and learned a lot, even my first scout to Illinois this year verified that I have found the best place to be.
I believe I can put down a really good buck or two this year. I’m going into this season with a lot more confidence, other than that, I’ve only killed two good size bucks and those came a week apart two years ago. I do intend on thinning the doe herd this season, I have a buttload of them running around.
From my Illinois scout:And that wasn’t the only track I found. I know a print isn’t the best to gauge a deer, but these tracks were huge, and didn’t change size much in drier dirt.

Thanks a lot jerk! You had to go there and bring up bad memories. lol.

I can be a pretty frustrating team member at times. I get greedy and pass up some bucks that would be lifetime kills for a lot of guys. Not because I am a great hunter, but because I get to hunt great areas and have killed more than my share. On the bright side though, I have broken the 200" total mark at least half the years that I have participated. So, after not filling a buck tag last year, maybe I am due! I have a few spotted already that would make that mark and I will not be greedy and hold out for 170+ bucks this year. I feel bad for the teams that I have done that to. I will put down the first 150+ that I get a chance at, and then I can get greedy for myself the rest of the year. Shooting does is never an issue.

    Lets do this!

I'll share some updated ones, but one of the top bucks I'm chasing is one I've followed since 2016 and passed in 2017. High-rise is a beast...this was pre July and those brows are nuts.

I'll also tease a couple of Bertier that many know I've been trying to get for years. Condense story, hit by car in Nov of 2016...only three good legs for years now, retreats to subdivisons to south once testerones hits hard in mid to late October-suspect due to his inability to fight or partake in rut.

    Freaking awesome buck.

I’m so excited I can’t stay away....and against my thoughts, I want to ask a question about a deer. I had this fella 15 yards last year and let him walk, I think this new picture is him now.
What say you? Crazy thing, he isn’t the biggest one I’ve got on camera. Day picture is from last year, night picture is this year. D238687F-DA0B-4636-AE36-577AF629B153.jpeg

    Well, my recent experience is this;

If you pass up bucks and end up eating tag soup........you may end up on a team with some butt-hurt guys that were on said team when you did not produce points and you will be bullied and your manhood will be insulted. You will get hate mail and your family will be harassed into seclusion. So, no big deal either way.

I don't see the style and charasterics of the tines matching. Could be but I'm leaning to no.

Ty that deer is just a freak, that’s one where score doesn’t matter one bit. I’d kill him every day.

I don’t kill the biggest deer, I do live in Michigan . But I’ve been consistent the last 3 years with a 115-117, a 137 8pt from MO, and I killed a 143 12 point opening night last season, and have also killed a doe all 4 years that I’ve been in the contest. Along with other respectable bucks that I couldn’t enter the last 2 years. Unfortunately things change but hopefully it’s 2021 season

That’s a lot better than my record.

I think I’m good for at least a doe this season.

The wife wants me to put even more deer in the freezer this year. I actually killed 13 last season, but I gave four away to friends and family. Nine deer in the freezer and we're running low.

If I ever lose the ability to hunt the private land I hunt in Kentucky, those numbers will drop considerably. I don't hunt like that anywhere else I hunt.

I gained access to a new patch of woods there. When I met the owner he told me pretty much the same thing as every other landowner: "Kill them all. Shoot five a day if you can. I just want them gone."

As I've said on the forums many times, it's easy there because the deer are plentiful and stupid. Well, for some reason the bucks seem more intelligent than the does.

I don’t usually have pics of target bucks to share, but this year I actually do.

If my son in law’s place in NW Missouri is still huntable, we have these three: Adjustments.jpg

Here on my home place I have these three. One of the pics is pure crap but if you zoom in you might see that he has a big frame.
