Unbelievable story and loved every word of it. Something to preserve your memories of FIL and past on to friends and family. Amazing!

@fletch920 the husband in me couldn't help but think you should consider getting a bracelet or necklace or earrings that are made out of dimes. There is some incredible jewelry makers out there incorporating and even using coins as centerpieces. Could be a beautiful touch for her for years to come.

I got a good 8 1/2 hours sleep last night. I really needed it.

My wife and I are about to start processing the buck and the doe I brought home. I’ll get my hunting clothes washed up while we are doing that.

My brother and his wife are stopping by tomorrow for lunch. I was considering going across the road after they leave and trying to take another doe but I think I’ll leave my home place alone.

I’ve got fairly decent bucks moving and even got some daylight pics in front of my stands while I was gone (of course) and I can’t kill another buck here until after gun season opens. Seems stupid to mess up good buck movement killing and recovering a doe. Then again, when the rut hits these bucks will most likely be gone. Anyone on the team want to come try to kill one?

This really “nice for me” 8 walked by my stand at 6:43 pm Saturday. I don’t think he would score much higher that the 116 I put on the board though.

I’m probably going to head to Kentucky on Wednesday or Thursday. There is a two day muzzleloader season there this weekend and if the deer are moving I can do quite a bit of freezer filling now that I’ve put a buck and a doe on the scorecard and dodged the pink panty bullet.

Always nice to have a few "extra" bucks running around on your properties LC! You are a deer killing machine for sure. It's really warm here again and I will probably wait until it cools down before I put my doe down. But, tell Tynimiller that I WILL shoot a doe. Probably a few actually because I was completely out of deer meat before killing my buck. On a side note, we cut some loin steaks off of him and grilled them up while we were processing and it was really good! The rest of the steaks will get aged in the fridge for several days before freezing.

Yeah, I know you’re still riding high on the thrill of killing that buck. I know I would be.

One year (2020 or 2021) you started hunting and I posted a “Release the Secret Weapon” meme from the animated movie “An American Tail”. Sure didn’t know it would take this long, but man oh man, when you kill you KILL!

It is nice having the extra bucks around here. Like I said, once the rut kicks in they’ll be scattered to the wind, but bigger ones always cruise in also.

I did get one video that is really cool that I wish I could post, but I don have any way to post it. It’s that same 8 point rubbing the small tree right by the mineral site.

I concur on if this would beat your 10, doubt it. Honestly, I had your 10 pegged for 120 or so and was shocked not higher truly.

I'll say this much...I've grown too accustomed to you guys....if come December we need points I'll just say it now, I will 100% for the first time ever allow the contest to lower my standards LOL

Besides I need a massive reload of jerky and summer sausage for christmas gifts.

You should already have a buck on the scorecard by December Ty. Don’t be hitting me with them negative waves so early in the contest.

Yeah, a doe would help right now. As soon as Johnny Miller’s episode on BHOD airs, his buck will be added to the scorecard for team six and we’ll only be up by 27 points, and that’s only if someone else on their team doesn’t kill a deer.

Oh, and team 6 still has Lady Forge waiting to kill a big buck.

It would be nice if you would kill a deer instead of just talking about it.

    well you’re right lol

I’ll join the point contributors soon for sure, I also think quite a few others are going to as well this year. My bet is Brett gets blessed with one soon!

I tried telling your harvest story to my dad last night @fletch920 and while I didn't have the forum post up and messed some of the details up...when I said the words your wife told you about what your FIL said about the dimes....I could hear audible sniffles and I again got teared up. Seriously, that story is just awesome, and yet that word doesn't fit it at all truly - it is more.
